From the outside looking in, it seems like U.S.A. has a huge (HUGE) political divide.

Countries collapse and form and change constantly throughout history, so when is the US's turn to split? It's a relatively young country, and people have changed wildly since the 1700's, so it's only natural that eventually it all blows up.

What does everyone think might happen?

Just a chit chat convo, speculating, nothing serious.

It's not a split among states..
It's a split between urban and rural.

And it's not going to split.

Unfortunately, there is no legal mechanism for the US to split up. It very definitely should be split up, but theres no legal path forward to provide for that. Whats more likely to happen as things stand going forward is the US will be taken over by the CCP which appears to be ever more in control of the Democrat party.

Huh? A split between urban and rural? How do you figure that??

Because urban and rural is where the political divide is, with urban centres leaning more and more heavily towards something new, and rural communities tending to stick with republican values, modern or otherwise.

I don’t see any way it can split because the two masses are mixed and not in one area vs another area. I don’t think you can have one being in splotches within the other. Might find some help here.

Oh, look at you Canadian Person, waiting for the fighting to start so you swoop in and try to steal your hockey teams back.

Ain't gonna happen.

Uh-huh, right. Urban centers of looting, burning, protesting, and murder capitals, corrupt officials.

The rest of the country would do away with them in a heartbeat.

Hmm. I've heard there is a divide in Canada as well, between the people out west and their self-appointed "betters" who support Trudeau and his clique. But I don't expect Canada to split anytime soon.

Cheers

If it does the United States should make overtures to the provinces which would be useful to us, Alberta for the oil sands, Ontario for hydroelectric and Nunavut because Santa lives there.

How about release all prisoners that are in for marijuana offences(exc traffickers), then fill all the spaces with left and right wing extremists?

I jest, but I'm getting fed up with all!

You named one of them the Seattle KRAKEN. It's time to just give it up.

Big time. It's pretty much Alberta
(and Flatskatchewan) ($$$) vs. Non Conservatives. It will probably split us up eventually, too because they're where the money and resources are, and the rest of us...aren't, not in the same way.
edit on 29-7-2020 by Atsbhct because: (no reason given)

The Calgary Gaynadians. A new hockey team. They're "out" of our league.
