*Mods - please move if this is not an appropriate forum*

Anybody else notice today the barrage of the number 100,000 in regards to Covid deaths? I woke up to seeing shared posts on social media showing the front page the NYT which contained no pictures but just the names of the "100,000" victims.
Other posts and memes shared on Facebook discussing the event repeated the 100,000 toll so I started noticing the pattern.
Did any one else notice starting today? If so, where did you see it?

The number itself seems like a simple, round number which can easily be sold to the narrative.

Tell a lie often enough and it slowly becomes the accepted history.

Rob Reiner should look in the mirror if he wants to see a real POS.

I haven't seen that number anywhere today but I don't look at the major news sites.

Reading this partial list at the NY Times...

www.nytimes.com...

...it is apparent that most of the dead are senior citizens. Which is obvious evidence that this disease is neither a danger to the rest of us nor the nation as a whole. And thus there is no reason to ruin the economy or the futures of millions of people.

The next country on the list is 60 000 deaths below the USA, WHY?

Is the USA really that sick?
Don't they have immune systems that work?
Are they too obese?
Do they eat pharmaceutical drugs like lollies, which kills their natural health/immunity?
Is their food full of steroids and growth hormones?

Why is the USA so sick?

Well, currently the number of dead in the US from COVID-19 complications is 97,720.

So, it is likely that it will cross the 100k in a few hours.

On the plus side it seems other various causes of deaths are in decline this year!

And the thing is after this is over and the CDC purposeful Body Count inflation guidelines are studied. 25% will probably come off the total .

I know, right! Ain't that just handy as hell?

They can publish all the lists and numbers they want, I'm still not buying what they're selling. It's tainted way worse than a Covid blood drop at this point.

What's interesting is that the CDC is actually only reporting about 74,000 deaths.

The NYT seems to be chomping at the bit to get to 100,000 deaths.

*****

EDIT: Strike that...it's the NCHS not the CDC reporting 74,000

I believe that is a provisional number.

It is important to note that it can take several weeks for death records to be submitted to National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), processed, coded, and tabulated. Therefore, the data shown on this page may be incomplete, and will likely not include all deaths that occurred during a given time period, especially for the more recent time periods. Death counts for earlier weeks are continually revised and may increase or decrease as new and updated death certificate data are received from the states by NCHS. COVID-19 death counts shown here may differ from other published sources, as data currently are lagged by an average of 1–2 weeks.
