Occam's razor, the rule of parsimony, call it what you will.

The simplest explanation that accounts for the evidence is usually the correct one.

Is this epidemic bio-engineered by the Illuminati rotschilds? Was the Spanish flu of 1919? Or the typhus outbreak in London in the 1820s? Or the Black Death in 1342? If ANY of those past epidemics were natural, then why isn't this one?

There is an egotistical element to conspiracy theories of the kind that fester on ATS, like an unflushed toilet in a truck stop.

First, there's the racism. See the Mayans could not have built the pyramids; the Peruvians could not have traced those Nazca lines-it must have been aliens! Because those little brown people couldn't have done that alone....

Then, there's the egotism. If my country suffers an economic meltdown, it can only Be the fault of the international satanic bankers. Because we never had a business cycle until THEY took power. The law of supply and demand, the principals of scarcity-driven pricing and opportunity cost never affected white people before the bankers....

So what about covid -19?

Anytime you get a community larger than 500 people, or develop trade networks, you start spreading disease. This didn't start with the foundation of the Bavarian illuminati in 1786. Diseases worked this way before the foundation of the worlds oldest cities.

The virus is under selective pressure of its own. If it kills too many humans, it will go extinct because no one will be alive to spread it. Selection will favor strains that are more virulent (catchy) but less morbid (deadly) until covid does resemble the common cold, which is the Beatles of disease---universal and relatively harmless.

Larger than 500, heck.... even 5,000,000

Abundant populations. Past excess, past healthy, past the capability of their immune systems. Think of Beautiful long sun drenched Brazilian beaches in the past times, the 30's the 40's times long past, pre-plastic, health images, and witness the truth.

www.bing.com...

Is there any wonder why as we waltz through the Pacific parking lot to see the colorful Fukishima melt and then the Greatland Alaska melt.
Not much to add. We apparently have reached our limit, either by nature or by design.

The only conspiracies around it are the various agendas spinning it to their political advantage.

It is what it is, and what it is is something most people have little to worry about except certain demographics, but for the sake of those demographics, we need to do the things we're doing -- practice social distancing/quarantining to do our best to make sure as many as can be saved will be saved. No one wants to know that we had to actively triage and let some die who might have been spared in better times.

That's what the current measures might allow us to avoid.

For most of us, this is going to be little worse than the average cold or flu bug. So the panic is wholely unwarranted. We need instead to have a mindset of determination to see it through more like a tornado drill/warning than a nuclear holocaust.

Disease spread is a fact of life, always has, always will be. We as a species are NOT above nature, we are part of the ecosystem. We are only one variable in the calculus that is the planet Earth. The recent philosophy that we are somehow "in command" of this planet is being shown, today, to be the theater show it has always been.

Nature rules this planet, not humans. If the ecosystem benefits from our extinction, there is NOTHING we can do to stop that. We can likely delay it, for a short period, but time and resources are not on our side. We are merely passengers here on this world, and we better start acting like it soon.

The best way for us as a species to survive is to strengthen our immune systems....not weaken them! Overuse of hand sanitizers and antibiotics has resulted in both weakened personal immune systems as well as threatened even more lethal pathogens to evolve. So, while we weaken, they get stronger. Does that sound like a winning strategy to anyone?

Add the vast travel network we currently have created and we have begun to be the Trojan horse for all of humanity.

If ANY of those past epidemics were natural, then why isn't this one?

Because engineering and weaponizing viruses hasn't been easily done before now, and when something can be done, someone just has to try it out. That doesn't mean that CV must be "artificial", but it doesn't mean it isn't either.

There is an egotistical element to conspiracy theories of the kind that fester on ATS, like an unflushed toilet in a truck stop.

And there is a smug countenance forever prevalent on those who constantly nay say them without doing their due diligence.

First, there's the racism. See the Mayans could not have built the pyramids; the Peruvians could not have traced those Nazca lines-it must have been aliens! Because those little brown people couldn't have done that alone....

It has nothing to do with racism, it has to do with their perceived capabilities at the time the said feats were accomplished. Non-sequitur.

Newsflash; International banking affects economies internationally. So yes, people are going to scrutinize them as much as they do their own banks and economy.

True, but none of what you have put forward negates the possibility of intentional human intervention and disbursement. The possibility is there even if it doesn't confirm our bias against it.

PC is a religion that effects the thinking And creates egotism.

EG: it’s racist to say that brown people could not Cut, move and lift Multiple 80 ton stones....ok

Common sense = racism

How many govenerments have done human experiments?

Saying that the Wuh flu cannot be a bio weapon is crazy. Saying that the Wuh Flu can only be natural is also crazy. People need to check their egos and follow the facts. If you only get your news from one source m, you don’t have news you have propaganda

Who said anything about "brown" people not developing it? For one thing, Asians tend to be smarter than whites across the board. Check your facts there.

But ... China itself is behind because of its own policies. Yes, they are in a mode of rapid development (where development means steal what they can where they can), and that doesn't mean they aren't more than intellectually capable as a people, more than their own political system is one that stagnates development and innovation rather than allowing it to flourish.

However, when it comes to making things like this, it doesn't matter what race you're from, Mother Nature is still the Master.

Certainly hope so.

The next few weeks are going to be bad though. Really bad since a large majority of our population still thinks this is no big deal.

Life at the epicenter of N.J.’s coronavirus outbreak

with 11 current cases and six patients in the ICU, says state may not realize how serious this: ‘There is absolute reason to be extremely cautious, to be very concerned’

Eleven cases. Six of which are in the ICU. And 40 more patients under observation.

All at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck.

The numbers are growing by the day. So quickly that not all of them are included in the state’s official coronavirus count.

It’s why Holy Name CEO Mike Maron thinks all the attention the coronavirus has been getting in New Jersey — from the school closings, banning of public gatherings, suspensions of pro sports leagues and even the fights over toilet paper and bottled water — is not enough. Not even close.

“We had him in our ER in isolation. We were monitoring him, and the decision was: ‘He seems to be doing a little bit better. We think we’re going to discharge him home under self-isolation and monitor him from there.’ But we wanted to wait another hour or two because we were just seeing a little indication that something’s not right.

“In that two hours, he decompensated so fast. He is one of the ones in the ICU on a ventilator. He’s fighting for his life. It goes that quick.

“That’s what people aren’t seeing. The flu doesn’t do that to you. These people are going from being moderately OK to being on a vent. And the next thing that happens is they start to decompensate, and then you get into organ failure.”

True. China has no one but themselves to blame for inflicting their own version of the dark ages on their people.

I never said that "wuh flu" cannot be a bio weapon.

I said it was not the simplest explanation that fits the facts.

I did not say "Wuh Flu" can only be natural.

I said that covid-19 as the probabilistic outcome of natural forces (mutation and natural selection) is the simplest explanation that fits the facts.

That doesn't mean it's proved.

That doesn't mean is even true.

It just means it's the best hypothesis going forward, absent a body of evidence that better supports a different explanation. In other words....

Science.

To support some other exotic theories, you need to come up with and accept not only a list of plausible motivations, but a list of alternative facts. And then disprove the existing evidence.

Do that, and you make an incredibly compelling case for whatever conspiracy THEORY you've compounded. Short of that it's just a folktale. Just an urban legend. And about and entertaining.

If someone doesn't take your pet theory seriously. It's not because they are in denial. It's just that they aren't using the same "jump to conclusion Mat (TM)" that you are.

The international bankers are responsible for every economic collapse in the history of mankind that was not due to natural disaster or wars lead by insane madmen who held the title of King.

Everything else I agree with.

Well most places here have shut down or on limited hours, all of my markets in New York Dallas Chicago and Atlanta have been canceled our building is open with limited staffing but we can easily work from home for a month. Same for my daughter who is a teacher won't go back till 4/27.

Hard to shut down everything without people freaking out
