But honestly, without the media/social media hysteria , no one would even notice this thing.

Think about it.

Lets be real, people 80 years plus and already sick, which is by FAR the most casualties, dying would hardly even be noticed outside of the families.

Project flu-beam and the hysteria are the only real damned problem here, this is a very mild sickness that seems to be fatal only to a tiny minority that are at the end of life. Sad, but no world ender by any stretch.

It might be time we all get a grip and lay off the doomporn/fear mongering.

Absolute craziness. Scary that we could be a couple quick steps away from outright anarchy. When demand for TP turns to demand for food, all bets are off.

People at our pharmacy are trying to buy 6 months worth of medicine even though they’ve been advised that could keep others from getting any at all.

This is really bringing out the best (beast?) in people.

Incidentally, I couldn’t help but notice that one of the combatants in the first video was wearing a shirt that said LOVE on the back....

That's because we have all learned that "Love trumps hate" and anyone who wears such a slogan usually doesn't get it.

I wish stores would start implementing the one pack per person rule...otherwise we're all going to get the National Guard treatment like the dumb, panicking animals "we" are.

There has been a couple here, going to costco, buying up all the lysol, hand sanitiser..etc, thousands of dollars worth each visit, were doing it several times a day. They have been reselling it on amazon at a 500% markup..I hope they get really ill..I normally would not wish it on anyone, but I make an exception here.

Anyway, the manager today, finally told them no more!

Look no further than how people use roads and other shareable spaces with such disregard to understand how selfish people are.

The simple fact of the matter is comfort exacerbates ego exponentially.

Our progress AGAINST nature has been too successful at convincing ourselves we are the end all be all. This allows us the freedom to take on the next competitor which is each other in place of looking at one's self.

Actually? No. I expected this from the start. What I was hoping we wouldn't see is so much circumstantial evidence that there is a larger, nefarious motive behind this.
