That's been my feeling too and my husband said a coworker had been in court on Thursday (nothing major) and she was told no new court dates in March or April. That also matches up with what I've been saying for a month. End of March and we'll really be seeing some stuff then it will take off in April.

Ya know, people may be joking about this now, but this may be the reality for all of us in a month or so.

I say hats off to them. They are protecting themselves and others. I have similar suits ready to use once I think things get worse. She may be jumping a little bit, but not by much.

My local Menards just restocked their shelves with like 10 boxes of cool flow n95 mask. Each box holds 10 mask and they were 20 dollars a month ago. How much now?? 40 a box. Supply and demand 😳

One signal to watch out for is if the first case in an area is a death or a severe case, because that suggests you had a lot of community transmission already. As a back of the envelope calculation, suppose the fatality rate for cases is about 1 percent, which is plausible. If you’ve got a death, then that person probably became ill about three weeks ago. That means you probably had about 100 cases three weeks ago, in reality. In that subsequent three weeks, that number could well have doubled, then doubled, then doubled again. So you’re currently looking at 500 cases, maybe a thousand cases.

I travel to Las Vegas several times a year for business. My colleagues and I have been talking about how surprised we've been about how few cases there are there given the international visitors the city gets.

This morning I see that Redditors on the r/coronavirus thread are saying there is "chatter of a silent outbreak in Vegas" that is being kept quiet because tourism dollars are vital for the city.

Thoughts? I do know that one of the positive cases in Toronto was a man that had been in Las Vegas. I'm just curious. My company has cancelled all business trips to Las Vegas until further notice.

Edit to add: We were also asking each other this question: if the airlines are impacted enough that they start offering $50 fares to FL, Vegas, etc. Would you fly?

I mentioned about casino cities, they are going to be ghost towns soon. I now see it with live concerts here, all are canceled.
