So.. while it's sad anyone has died, in the grand scheme of nature.. that ain't nothing. So far at least.

The key to all this is when a virus becomes airborne with a long contagious time before symptoms, and then throw in a mortality rate of 70+ and we will have a problem. Bird flu and Ebola are both 70+ mortality rate, but lack the other too ingredients.

There is a lot of BS and fear mongering when it comes to this virus. Yes,It can be harmful to the elderly and people with health problems, but so is the common flu, which kills thousands every year.

The people in the West who have had it, or have it are fine, with some of them clearing the virus with ease after a few weeks.

Normal healthy people, as has shown, should clear it with ease.

LoL.. no. Cremations are probably not anywhere near the top of any list for this pollutant. Refineries, coal, cars, oil-based power plants are among the worst offenders. Even volcanoes. From a single site (and most mirror the thoughts)

The main sources of SO2 emissions are from fossil fuel combustion at power plants, refineries, and other industrial facilities. Secondary sources of SO2 emissions include ore smelters and the burning of high sulfur fuel by trains, large ships, and non-road equipment.

Just because a random doomporn site claims cremations are the reason for this pollutant doesn't make it true. Coal is a prime offender, and China's energy needs are 70% dependent on coal. But.. no, gotta be burning bodies!

This virus is not just dangerous to infants or the elderly. The doctor in China that died was middle aged and healthy prior to getting the virus. The people in the west are receiving better health care from a system that is not presently overloaded and under-staffed/equipped. The honest truth is you have no idea the age or general health of the victims of this virus in China. Apart from accusing people of fear-mongering (which may not be accurate) I don't see what you gain from trying to maintaining this position.

50,000 people is nothing in a billion plus population......cancer kills somebody every 5 seconds on average.
That is the silent epidemic, 50% of people will get it in there lifetime.

Why is everyone bothering with a thread about a deadly virus sweeping the planet when Trump and Pelosi are out there? Come on 'Murica, get yourselves together ffs! People may be dying, children are at risk, but you know........ Pelosi!!!!

In all seriousness, the circus that is American politics is secondary to all the other # going on is it not? Put your dummies and handbags away, and see a bigger picture. Then maybe we can all help each other to stay safe and well. To me, that is the most important thing now.

Firstly, post evidence that children are being effected by this virus? We know that the virus does not seem to be effecting children like it does adults. Type that in google and you will see the articles thst talk about that.

As for deaths. Of course it will kill elderly and have a chance of killing people with other problems, just like the normal flu!

What happens when non elderly people and people who do not have health problems get the flu? They clear it, just like they are clearing this virus

As for the doctor in China. Do you know he did not have health issues? We know that he was not sleeping and working around the clock. What happens when you do that? Your immune system is effected through stress and lack of sleep, so there is a good chance the virus would effect you worse.
