Do you, really? It’s Necrose time. Why spend so much time in a thread your opposed to most everybody in? There are a number of them. It’s now Necrose’s shift. Really quite amusing and a touch sad. Still, orders are orders I suppose.

I also don't understand what has happened to ATS moderation. Usually by now, most of us would have been slapped with at least one "steady on" from a mod, but this thread is a mod ghost town. And for the record, (though greatly off topic) I hated the pictures on the sides of the pages when they introduced them and I still hate them now! People said they'd grow on me...LIES! *grrr*

They are having trouble combating the virus because decision makers attention is being diverted by "conspiracy theorist"

They have asked google, Facebook, Pinterest, weibo, etc to filter out info and support only "factual" info from the WHO and CDC.

They are working with "INSTAGRAM INFLUENCERS" to get out the "facts"..

Seriously how much of that 675million is being spent on Instagram idiots?

Seems like their love for censoring people is even more contagious than the virus. Any excuse is good when it comes to silencing normal people.

Either that or they know it came from an animal that should not have been in that market (i.e. something most of the world would be highly upset was there). Like ... baby panda or something that was trafficked out of a country illegally.

IMHO they would have no problem offering up some animal traffickers to save face.

If it was a panda they would be apoplectic and enacts all kinds of laws.

I’m thinking there are no samples or the samples tested negative and they isolated it to patient 0 from a relative at that market. Patient 0 works at the lab.

Even if it was, it doesn't mean they were working on a bio-weapon. They have the strains in China to pop out in SARS. Studying this kind of virus and working to counteract it is a perfectly legitimate avenue of research. A lot of times, when you work on a virus the way they do these days and go through different iterations, a pathogen can get more or less dangerous depending on what you are trying to do to make it useful to your purpose in the end.

To try to cover up a simple accident is madness and sheer stupidity especially as there is a good reason for China to want to research this thing.

The other thing is that ever since the swine epidemic, China has been fighting to find protein for the population. They may very well be not too happy with showing the sheer variety of exotic meats on offer there.
