RCH219, the first C-5 out of Cannon is on the descent over Georgia. It appears that he might be going into Fort Stewart, possibly to pick up 160th birds. He's actually dropping in on Charleston. Must just be a quick turn to take on fuel before heading out over the water.

It looks like RCH768T is joining the air bridge. He's at 28,000 feet, just off the east coast, heading north.

how many total "boots on the ground" troops have they moved? is the total still 3,000?

They moved 750 the first night. Each C-17 carries 54 troops, with 13 pallets, or 102 paratroops, or 134 with the pallets with seats, and the sidewall seats. The 3,000 was announced today, but probably started last night. They've got a long way to go to get there, even if they go with the palletized seats. It would require somewhere around 30 aircraft to move all their equipment and troops. So probably about 48 hours all told.

RCH649 on the descent for Pope. If he maintains the same schedule as previous aircraft, he should be airborne again in approximately two hours after landing.

They started moving them last night. Mildenhall sent 4 CV-22s, and 4 MC-130Js on day one, which went home today. They flew an overnight raid last night and captured a commander. Five or six C-5s flew from the Savannah area, which is home to 3rd Battalion, 160th SOAR. Two C-5s tonight are flying from Cannon AFB, NM, home to the 27th SOW.

The primary focus is on moving the 82nd, because they're the rapid reaction force. The 1st BCT was ready to get on the first aircraft something like two hours after being given notice they were deploying.

I'm waiting to see if he heads East. Last night they were launching from Travis and heading to Savannah. I'm betting he may make a u-turn back to Cannon.

RCH979 went into Rota last night. He's airborne again, heading east over Spain.

RCH471 C-5M 87-0030 airborne out of Dover, heading South.

RCH609 out of Rota as well. There should be at least one more out of there.

The three from last night went into Rota, two are back up. I suspect the third won't be long.

Any naval movements?
I have to assume we are moving into positions as a precaution.

RCH768T into Bangor for fuel. ETD based on previous days, 2 hours.

Correction, he's going in to the DC area. He might not be part of the air bridge after all. We'll see in a couple hours.
