Foreign Emergency Support Team. It's an interagency response team. They have everyone from the FBI, DoD, DoE and others. They advise on responses, security setups, or react to threats.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iranian Major-General Qassem Soleimani, head of the elite Quds Force, and Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were killed late on Thursday in an air strike on their convoy in Baghdad airport, an Iraqi militia spokesman told Reuters.

RCH977, and 979, both C-5Ms, and RCH857, C-17 all out of the Savannah area heading up the east coast. RCH609 over the Mobile area heading that way.

Possibly another round of movements into the region.

RCH927, that aborted yesterday is crossing the UK now.

All three C-5s crossed into the Atlantic. RCH977 and 979 flying together, cleared the coast near Virginia. RCH609 crossed Florida and cleared the coast near Jacksonville. RCH857 is continuing up the coast. It looks like Rota, Lajes, and through Germany.

C-5M 84-0060 out of California heading towards the east coast. If he continues that will make 4 C-5Ms heading east. That's a lot of equipment moving. Possibly more than all 20 C-17s moved.

The difference between Mattis and Esper is quite telling.

Popping a MG in the Iranian military who shouldn't be found on Iraqi soil ... priceless. LOL

Well it's looking more and more like yhe whole 82nd might be going. There were already rumors they were on standby to go, but after our response I feel like there's no way we didn't have them ready to go to counter whatever response comes back at us. And that many C-5s are insane amounts of equipment for one battalion right?

If all 4000 are deployed something bigger is up . Last I heard the 30th armored combat brigade was poking around in Syria.

And now we know you were right...

Interesting times...

Yeah, a lot more of the 82nd is moving. 84-0060 is about to land in the Bragg area.

BRUSH51, KC-135 60-0353 is south of the Portugal area. Can't tell if it's more than one aircraft, but he might be waiting on one of the C-5s.

Any idea how many who've already gone outbound have made it back across the pond? I'm wondering if we will see another round across this week...as well as other units with some heavier armor starting to mount up. What's the closest armor we have to that area anyway Europe?

I've seen 6 heading back tonight so far. RCH597 is currently landing in Germany, and 664 is over Romania. They should be back in the US in time to head back tomorrow night if they're just going to round robin these and not pull in others. Looks like 616 is out of Kuwait now. 427 is heading back over Africa as well. So that's 8 that I've seen. Once they're over the Atlantic they drop off so I might have missed some.

Looks like they're pulling more aircraft in RCH472 is airborne out of Anchorage and is heading for the same track that they were using yesterday.

Looks like Mildenhall will be refueling the C-5s as they go over. QID705 58-0113 just launched. That's three tankers so far. He and QID703 should head down towards Rota and meet up with BRUSH51.

RCH857 airborne again from Bangor.

There may be a fighter component moving out of Mildenhall. QID705 climbed to 33,000 feet. QID703 is dropping down over France, but is staying down at 27,000 feet. That's usually indicative of being on a refueling track, but nothing has come up over France.

QID702 57-1474 airborne out of Mildenhall. Looks like they're heading down over France either dragging fighters or to meet something.

The last time we had a tanker line form and run down along Italy into the Med there was a strike on Syria.

QID704 airborne. It appears that one tanker in each pair is staying low, while the second goes higher. That makes the first aircraft the primary and second aircraft the spare.

Thats what has me paying such close attention to this...the logistics they are involving and the time scale is not sonething that would be undertaken lightly as it isn't cheap to move things so quickly...and boy is there a lot moving. If fighters go down I'd assume its to secure the airspace for landing transports...but you never know if a strike component has some work to do. Its obvious their comms aren't secure from us and it was said there may be preemptive response if they kept planning attacks. If I hear of armor rolling onto boats is when I'll really worry...until then this looks very much defensive.

Mildenhall has two or three squadrons of F-15Es, in addition to their Cs. So it could be strike aircraft, or it could be more air to air support.

Italian KC-767 is airborne off Italy too now.

RCH927 airborne from Germany.

RCH977 and 979 just passing Lajes.

GOLD61 just popped up at Lajes, with the C-5s near him. The QID birds are turning over Italy, so it appears they do have chicks in trail.

QID703 is in the descent over Italy.
