Everyone has friends and family who will miss them and mourn. Those people deserve sympathy at a time like this whatever you think of someone personally.

Sorry, but longstanding congressmen like him are the problem, not the solution. He stopped caring about his district and its problems a long time ago.

May he find the peace in death that he couldn't find in life.

I'm sad to hear about this.

He was so ridiculous and over the top. I found him amusing.

68 is way too young.

Comfort for his family.

*now in my excited voice*
What does this mean for his position? Will there be a special election or how does this work?

P.S. Incoming tweets about - Trump not welcome at his service...blah, blah, blah.

Carolyn Maloney will take over until they vote on who is next. Will be telling if it is AOC or Tlaib that are voted in or not. Now I would love the irony if Wasserman Shultz was voted in.

They don't have any well known members outside of those 3 so it should be interesting.

AOC or Tlaib.

I mean...

I'm just going to let that sink in for a minute.

I wouldn't be shocked if they were dumb enough to push AOC. That would just be hilarious. They would draw conclusions that she is like Cummings because of her push for climate change activism and how that is similar to his civil rights activism.

This should be fun to see how it plays out.

So how to express condolences for a politician that served the old deep state instead of the people that elected him?

Looking into info about Maloney and I find

Carolyn Maloney hospitalized after suffering medical episode

Maloney, 73, appeared to be on the verge of blacking out after delivering remarks at a press conference in Chinatown. The Manhattan congresswoman told a staffer that she felt pain and couldn’t see.

This was on Oct. 7th it looks like though.

Well that doesnt bode well for her. I am also wondering where Nadler has disappeared to....he has literally just disappeared after being forefront for weeks.

Maybe they move to vote quickly so Maloney isnt in place for long. The 7th wasnt that long ago.

It's interesting comparing the Cummings and McCain ATS condolences. Elijah seems to be liked by most.
