Is it hard to believe that he took a sudden turn for the worse? Despite what you may think about his politics he never let illness get in the way of doing his job. Back in 2017 when he was suffering from a surgery related infection in his knee he still went into work.

Elijah's wife is expected to take his seat in Congress.

It's possible, because everyone was stunned and perplexed over a GIANT FIGHTER like Elijah Cummings, dying during a minor procedure.

Maybe we'll learn more about his final hours during the Funeral on Friday.

President Barack Obama announced this evening that he will speak. BHO might include some "feeler statements" to gauge if Michelle should enter the race for President. (Can't let a good funeral go to waste!)
