I thought the wind may quieten down a bit. But no. True love, the neighbors and some of the animals have left. It's quite Martian here and of course getting dark. 4.55pm. It was dark at 2.00pm and I switched on the lights.

Inside, it's cool and the am radio is issuing warnings and evacuations. The south eastern sky is glowing. This is big. If the wind abates I'll feel better but looks like an all nighter for me. It's unnerving to see a sunset sky in the east.

Hello,

Just posting a couple of pics 'true love' took before she evacuated. The pics aspect are south east from my house and may look like a rain storm but is actually a fire generating it's own storm.





So with the sun still high in the sky to the west,



With everyone gone I can look to my south east and just see an enormous red glow..

This is weird. I am experiencing something in my life that I have never experienced before. As you know, everyone has left with the dogs.

The sky is glowing red/orange. Apart from broadcasts the only things I can hear is a roar and crackling. But it's blended and sounds like something synthesized. It's 6.32pm here. Phone call....

Sorry, gotta go, It's on, fire in the hole!!! And eff it's big, huge!!! I think Al's house is gonna go, see ya!

On a side note, I've been amused recently that we have horses, foxes, squirrels and rabbits here under one roof on ATS - I happen to be especially fond of squirrels. May I be so bold as to inquire what your inspiration is for using the rabbit as your persona/avatar?
