We only need one political part in this country and it should be lead by that nutbar and her wacko prayers. Then Iran can bomb us for our oil.

On the plus side, maybe she is waking up some as to how unappealing religion can be in politics...

Lol, who am I kidding.

The only other man I'm attracted to is Danny Devito... No immortal power could change that.

Wasted prayers.

It's no match for when us witches get together and start spirit cooking.

You wonder why trickle down economics never works? It's the witches.

Really? Show me an atheist compound. Show me atheists going around looking for the desperate to drag into their cult to prey upon and abuse. Sure atheists tend to criticize religion and many are assholes but you'll almost never see them buying up guns and building compounds. Nor will you see them preying on people's good will by claiming to be doing good in God's name only to use the money to prop up their organization of abuse. Their are no atheist groups raping young girls and forcing them into marraige with older men claiming it's the way of their beliefs.

Being a critic and arguing against religion is a far cry from anything that would compare to cult status. Yeah a lot of atheists argue against religion, but there's very little strong organization compared to religion that builds whole isolated communities in order to practice their version if faith away from normal society because they know how wrong their actions would be viewed.

My girlfriend would probably be dead or worse today if the cult had a compound to hide their abuse while she was there. How many atheist groups are there like that in the U.S. because there are a whole # load of Christian cults like that and they are growing more numerous by the day.

Calling a few loosely barely connected people arguing mostly on the internet, mostly as individuals, a cult because they might hurt feelings or convince someone there's no God is an insult to the real abuse and danger that is a real cult.

Seems it's easy to find athiest cults.
firstchurchofatheism.com...
You can get ordained as an atheist minister at the link.
You can even pick up their leaflet/book ; Jesus Wasn’t Magic: A Christmas Book for Non-Believers

Atheism is a belief system, just like any other and they are usually very forward in telling everyone else their beliefs are right. You'll often find them salivating over science, for example atatcking anyone who doesn't believe their climate priests, to which they pray every night with their faithful prayer of "96% of scientists agree".

And morals and decency have nothing to do with believing in gods.

Here's the thing though, where did they come from?

Even great thinkers like Aristotle believed in god. So if we go back far enough, the majority of people were religious, or spiritual.

So the chances are pretty slim that people that were of good morality and decency were also not religious.

But since you make the claim, I'd like to hear your take on it.

I'm hoping Iran provokes a surgical strike. President Trump will target the Mullahs/Leaders, and the people there will elect their replacement.

In many areas of government operation, Christian beliefs should REPLACE politics. The illegal immigrant problem, for one.

It's greed and lust for power. Actually, that's present in every economic system. Unfortunately, it's been human nature for thousands of years.

Godly prayer is never a bad thing. I know non-religious people that pray everyday, but never ever go to a church. Religion and God are not synonymous.

Prayer is a conversation. Prayer is an affirmation of faith. Prayer is never a bad thing.

What about the people who pray for "the great Satan" (America) to be destroyed?

Yes, let's pretend god is on our side and them guys over there are the evil satanists cuz we don't like them. This sort of thinking really helps me put things in perspective. I'll have to try it if I ever find a god. I suppose I could make that up too. Hmm...

Climate change is not an atheist belief. Can you show me the book of atheism and where it says, "though shall accept climate change as man made" cause as an Atheist I've yet to see it, and are you likewise telling me that no Christian's believe in man made climate change? I'm atheist and if you look in the recent and many climate change threads you won't see me acting that way about climate change. Quite the opposite really and there's the problem.

See you're confusing people with a belief who happen to be atheist with that belief coming from atheism which it clearly doesn't.

No atheist can point towards atheism as a reason they believe anything other than a lack of belief in a god and that isn't even because of atheism as all atheism is the definition of the state of not believing in a god. Why an atheist feels that way is completely varied to the individual.

Where as Christians constantly point to their bible as to why they believe in and do many things, hating homosexuality for example. It was used to defend slavery, it's been used to persecute women like my girlfriend.

Many atheists may espouse science but so do many Christian's and you honestly expect me to think science and the belief in made made climate change is a pure atheist belief you're nuts.

As for a church of atheism, such a concept is absurd.

Absurd, but real.
If you read the link :

The one thing binding every FCA minister is his or her belief in science, reason, and reality.

...which is interesting because science explains but a fraction of reality. So this particular cult of atheism, which is ordaining ministers, has a belief system akin to a new born baby's experience of life. They print promotional material and have a website to recruit new ministers.

So, in actual fact, what you said does not exist, actually does exist.
Only took me a few seconds to find them because they are promoting themselves via Google.
They are no different at all to a religous cult of a few people living on a compound.

More generally the link between scientists and atheism is undeniable

That graph there would seem to indicate that people that study science are less likely to believe in god? How can this be?
