Even after I learned about McCain affiliating with terrorists, I still respected how he pushed for a strong military. Though, I don't know if he was soldier-friendly... i.e. Better Pay, Better Housing, etc.. But McCain is now in the rear view mirror, and we're all moving forward on the Trump waves.

Now that you mention Ross Perot's Electronic Data Systems, I'll have to look it up and see what happened to the company...and to Ross Perot for that matter.

I can save you time on one. EDS got acquired or merged with HP. A lot of good people lost jobs. 2008 and on happened. Repeat. And then some. He had 23 or 24 years in by 09 and got walked out with a box. Crazy blast from the past. Wasn’t an easy time for us. For many.

The fact that JA is in custody pisses me off!. Of course he is being extradited to the US...which could be wonderful.

I noticed yesterday how CNN had to explain in very basic terms what "President Trump's personal hack" William Barr was talking about regarding the Spying statement.

While watching, it occurred to me that CNN's audience knew absolutely nothing about the things all of us in this thread take for granted. CNN then framed it in a way that made the FBI spying on the Trump campaign look justifiable. MSNBC was doing the same thing.

Like your husband, the vast majority of Americans probably think that the spying/surveillance was legal and justified, because (as Comey said tonight), THAT is what our Intelligence agencies do.

Trump is totally distancing himself from this because

When the dead man switch goes ... we get really juicy stuff on the bad actors ... and we get it direct.

The President can not be seen to be involved.

Then the info is available for the courts to use as it is in the public sphere.

Thank-you for taking the time to fill me in on what happened to EDS. It's a shame how callous EDS treated you and your husband though! Thank goodness you both had the smarts, resilience and drive to push through, and make even better lives for yourself!

I've seen references to Julian Assange's "dead man" and/or "fail safe" insurance policy over the past 3 years. But as the internet goes, it could be just an urban legend? Did Wiki-leaks ever confirm this?

Thank you. Yes, there is a difference. Seems like MSM has been conflating the two since the turn of the century and the "we are now the news" crowd is now carrying the baton.

Exactly! but from his point of view he wasn't in the wrong because the order to put the surveillance in Trump Tower came from the administration. He should have questioned it, but he didn't need to since he was "only following orders". I'm sure when squeezed he'll rat out people and play the victim.

That doesn't hold water. As the person approving the FISA application, Comey signed a sworn statement that the "evidence" was true, it was his duty to do the due diligence to verify the information was true and accurate. By "pencil whipping" it, he put himself in serious legal jeopardy.
