Can you name one?

As for the fruity beers, pretty much any Doppelbock
And probably the best rye beer I've had is Veldensteiner Bierwerkstatt Red Rye

Mind you there are probably a thousand different German beers, and I was also lucky enough to have a friend bring me back Krug Bräu Weihnachtsbier one Christmas... a big growler of it at that.

Being over 12 and putting ketchup everything

Pineapple on pizza ... and if you don't like the grease order it with ricotta pineapple on pizza is for children

Steak over medium many of places will microwave your steak for that and only put sauce on it if you think whoever's cooked it deserves a good insult

Needing a second serving of wasabi with your sushi it's not @#$%ing ketchup how can you even taste the fish do you even like sushi

Drowning your rice in soy sauce ... it's a seasoning not broth for rice soup

Being so concerned with how you look you can't even enjoy your food when eating it (this one I think should get you forced to eat everything blended and drank)

Wow you would hate eating at our house, I do two of those things mixed.

I cook my steaks well done, no pink, and drown it in a soy sauce mix. People have raved that this is the best thing they ever tasted!

Yep, so do I and I think it is so tasty and everyone else thinks so too.

I have a few ones that are not food, but similar to the rare-welldone...

-Putting oil in pasta water.
-"shocking" the pasta with cold water after cooking.

If you put oil in pasta water you go straight to hell and have not understood that the oil will prevent the sauce and the pasta to bind.

If you wash out the pasta bowl with cold water so they do not get less "dente" you will wash out the starch and again, prevent the sauce and pasta from binding.

None of the above will prevent sticking the pasta together after it gets cold, so just do not do it. It is barbaric.

Just ordered a pineapple-ham pizza and I will squeeze garlic on it before I eat it.

Sometimes I put two slices on top of each other to have the better version of a calzone. If there is any good version of it.

stromboli, the difference is a stromboli has the sauce baked in and a calzone you have to dip it in sauce.

But I digress, I have far to may Italian americans that live near me, and dozens of "Italian" restaurants that are around me

My inly contribution....

Steak with salt and pepper only. Cooked over fire only. No more done than medium....its died once. No need to cremate it.

I add butter at the end on lower quality or lower fat steaks.

Unless its being done for asian, in which case just about anything goes

My favorite steak is a fire grilled ribeye.

Light olive oil to help salt and pepper stick... And grilled over wood or coal.

If it's a thick cut or otherwise abnormally large steak... I smoke it first, then reverse sear it after on the wood I used to smoke it. Great method for tomahawks.

That's the only way I will do a bone in prime rib roast. Always perfect interior with a nice fat cap crust.
