Oh sorry, I didn't mean it was called 'How to torture someone', here is a description of the program:

"Torture: The Guantanamo Guidebook

11:05pm - 12:10am

Channel 4

VIDEO Plus+: 136428
Subtitled

Volunteers submit themselves to the interrogation techniques used by the US armed forces at the Guantánamo camp. How will the treatment affect them, physically and psychologically? With Jon Snow."

Tis brutal stuff, one guys just dropped out, his heartbeat was at a VERY dangerous level. After only ten hours.

I just finished watching it, and frankly It was sickning.
I know war isnt nice or even fair but come on!
We go and fight for "our liberties" and "what we stand for" yet we use tactics that are the exact oposite of "what we stand for".

It was, before Islamic extremists flew airliners into the World Trade Center.

Thought you might need a reminder.

Torture is illegal.

Can you show me some PROOF that Islamic Extremists were flying planes into the twin towers as i'm still a bit stuck as to who was responsible for that ?

I thought it was some other group with another Agenda slightly granda plan than Islam's - (I may be mistaken here)

Torture isn't nice at all but neither is letting staving children die each day coz Others with the power won't do naff all about it ...

If it saves a life then what ever means you have at hand.....

Current topic: Torture For Fun

For fun, not for saving lives.

Is torture even an reliable way of getting information? I heard somewhere that people were likely to just say anything just to get it to stop, this would mean that a lot of the info gathered using torture would be unreliable.

In the world now a days everyone is as bad as each other. America can be as bad as the terrorist, the terrorists can be as bad as the British, everyone can be bad, everyone has been bad at some point and people need to realise that the west arn't all angelic and god-like as they make out to be. I'm not trying to stick up for terrorists at all, I just can't stand it when people make comments like 'Oh so your saying that America has done something wrong?'.

Lawrence Welk, MUZAK and as the Mythbusters crew showed, Chinese water torture - drip, drip, drip....

If not, the old bamboo under the fingernails works pretty well as does a good old fashion arse whipping and a head dunk in the water every 5 minutes....

My personal favorite - keel hauling. Argh, shiver me timbers....

Calling all ivory tower liberals and college students!!!!

I am soooo proud of you for saying you were sickened...SICKENED... by watching people be TORTURED( interrogated by anyone elses point of view)
in that show.

Ladies and gentlemen, who amoung you were outraged at the beheadings
last year of innocents? Who wrote of their outrage in the genocide in the Sudan?

Theres a thick line between being interrogated and tortured, interrogation is questioning without the use of force, torture is inflicting pain on the person to get information.

Who wasnt? Whats your point two wrongs dont make a right.
