The Divine Idea; The Quantum Blueprint

Hi friends, and thanks for checking out this thread inspired by a fascinating lecture by Jean Houston. I'm disappointed to find that I can't embed this Youtube video (getting an error). I'd highly recommend following the link and listening to her speak. I'll provide what I can of a synopsis here as well.

In her 18 minute lecture, Jean Houston delves into the human potential. Her experience living with people around the world has given her a unique perspective of human potential and excellence, which is that we are conduits to the divine, and that the western Ego is but one of many of our personas... and one which often blocks our connection to a source of infinite knowledge (the quantum blueprint).
She posits that the universe itself is sentient (a belief I share with her) and that "we are in the universe, but also the universe is in us."

Did our greatest thinkers channel something outside of their Self, or is genius due entirely to an anomalous, extraordinary brain?

Tesla, Edgar Cayce, Homer (when he called on the Muse), Opal Whiteley, among many others I am sure, seemed to gain knowledge from outside sources.
A universal language exists and we are part of it.
As Jean says in her lecture, we are the story tellers.

She ended her lecture with this poem:
A Sleep of Prisoners by Christopher Fry

The human heart can go the lengths of God…
Dark and cold we may be, but this
Is no winter now. The frozen misery
Of centuries breaks, cracks, begins to move;
The thunder is the thunder of the floes,
The thaw, the flood, the upstart Spring.

Thank God our time is now when wrong
Comes up to face us everywhere,
Never to leave us till we take
The longest stride of soul we ever took.

Affairs are now soul size.
The enterprise
Is exploration into God.
Where are you making for? It takes
So many thousand years to wake,
But will you wake for pity’s sake!

Have a great day! I'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject.

Sounds like a theory that could be conducive (pun intended) with the research of Albert Hofmann.

That said, I love it.

I've been down this road of thought, and set up the right parameters to truly be able to humor it.

I don't really buy into it is the end all be all in philosophy, but I do think it is an important analogy for us to play with to understand all of our impact on one another as well as a good way to explain how we're all connected.

I love playing with hypotheticals like this, and it saddens me that such ideas are outputting to some who feel like opening their minds conflict with traditional ideas they hold.

I don't think I've read any of his work. I'll have to check into it!

You always have the best, most insightful and relevant quotes to add to the conversation.

Thanks underwerks. That gets right to the heart of the thread.

On a related note: I love that the word "Inspire" means to breathe in.

A beautiful concept you have wonderfully presented, Zos.
I find myself in agreement with you, as often is the case.

Something guides us at the right times.
Doing our best to give it that channel is, truly, the longest stride of Soul we ever took, or will ever take.

Hazardous! It's so good to see you here, my friend!

I love how you summed up the OP.

I believe divine love and wisdom is readily available to anyone open enough to listen/receive it.
Which is just an incredible concept if you think of it. We all have exactly what we need at all times, even if it doesn't always seem so.

Hope you enjoy the day/week...

This is True…God gives to those what they need at a time when they need it…

Those that are sleeping, are enjoying their journey and experience. While those who become troubled can reach out and be comforted. And even those not troubled can reach out and seek the Divine.

To be asleep and blissfully enjoying ones journey/experience is done through love and by love; Waking up to ones true self is done through love also…

It's all in Gods timing...

Peace be with you…

- JC

The video is now in my bookmarks lol. Here is a poem I wrote somewhat by way of response

Closing our eye to the nature of why
We must consider the nature of how
We recieve the inspiration and ability
To create anew and break the bounds
Of the known with sheer possibility.
This ordering force which aligns
All of spirit into and outside reality.
A weave is made, a spark is grown
Stories bloom as consciousness arises
Itself inspiration made self aware
Resulting in More and Less, Big and small.
I wonder, Alice, how you can see at all?
Luck, ability, experience and emotion...
All distributed according to the narrative
Which she composes according to a Melody
That wanders through perception like a ghost
Layered and conflicting, such is her confusion
Yet she walks with a grace and strength profound
Sifting through chaos with a broken net
That captures fragile dreams and hopes
And nurtures them lovingly to life
These visions of beauty, truth collected
Into orders of wonder Justice and light
Fragments of memories which realign
Energy in newer more efficient modes
" how'd I never think of that before?"
Or the rush you get of energy coursing
Through your veins as you push limits
But also much of a simpler note
The many questions and the little "huh"s
The sustained effort of discipline
The varied forays through curiosity
The exuberant tang of joy and sorrow
The focused pursuits of knowledge
Wisdom and strength of spirit and life
This mystical and ephemeral force
Of which perception is allured
When we turn our thoughts to recieve
Something far greater than ourselves
And allow ourselves to be attuned
To the awesome power of creativity
Which will rush like a mighty tide
Throughout the mire of our minds
Cleansing, bolstering, and renewing.

And now, finally- trembling- the: why?
Stated tremulously on a half breath
Somewhere betwixt fear and excitement
Wobbling as reason wars with emotion.
To recieve such a gift with no notion
Of motive seems altogether too naive
Yet the act of doubt feels shameful.
I myself cannot yet afford the answer
But it seems to me there cannot be
Any other reason but spoken thus:
To give and receive lovingly and joyously
Is the highest level of communion
And can be felt near and far
Long ago and yet to become
And if no bonds should fall
Then let it drop to hang as it can
And entrust it to return with
No weight of expectation.
To burn bright against the dark of the night
And indeed transform it to be bright
That the light of inspiration should
Never fall but burn unimpeded
Blazing with the full power
That it was always meant to
And fulfill the promise of destiny
Held in our hearts as our highest
Yearnings understandings and actions

Quantum paradox:

if the divine blueprint knows our every move, and is our every move, how can we ever defy it? It is already known how our life will play out, yet we still think we are making free will decisions. We can only conclude then that the vain goals and lame desires we have pursued also have their purpose in the blueprint. They show us the futility of such endeavors. A margin of error was pre-conceived into the plan, because we can learn from our mistakes which paradoxically weren't mistakes after all, but were part of the plan the whole time...

I guess I am saying to you all, and even more so to my self, to not be so hard on your self. Don't go pondering and critically analyzing the bad dream, just wake up from it and move on. No more excuses, no more vain side quests. Ironically this type of true freedom even sounds boring to people!

"What will we even do?"....

Oh, well, you know, figure out who we are... and prepare for the next step in the cosmic development of our soul.

Glad you got around to checking it out, and that you loved hearing her speak as much as I did!

I'm not surprised she'd resonate with you... she has this beautiful nature goddess vibe (does that make sense?) that I feel when I read your posts as well.

Have a great one, Night Star!
