The Biggest Terror Threat In This Country Is MSM

There is always much furor, on here and elsewhere, regarding what is said (and what is not said) by talking heads on TV. Despite the mistrust of MSM voiced here, people are still getting all riled up over the things they’ve heard on the news (as evidenced by multiple threads)-- a maelstrom ensues each new hot button issue and spins furiously without ever quite reaching the target (a compromise or solution-- or is a solution really the target they seek? Hmmm).

The media is not our friend. By now, if the so-called reporters are unaware of the unrest they are causing through their irresponsible approach to these contentious times, then they are not aware enough of their surroundings to adequately report the news. And if they are aware (which I believe they are) then they are fully deplorable. And they ought to know their role in destabilizing already mentally ill individuals and, if their contention that words really DO directly harm people is true, they have blood on their hands.

Real reporters are not bankrolled by billionaires.

If you allow the news to incite you against your fellow countrymen, you let the billionaires pull the strings. That simple.

Indeed. I stopped watching TV around 15 years ago. I was starting to see "through" it all. I only read papers for entertainment value to keep up with what the globalists attempt next.

Maybe we can brainstorm a bit on here.

For one, we ALL have the platform now to be responsible reporters. The problem is we've dug ourselves in these deep trenches all ready for warfare and might not report the truth responsibly if it doesn't fit our opinions.

Can't we get the government to control what non government people say? That should make things better.

I've had direct experience with "reporters" and have seen from the inside how they twist a story to make it sensational.

This was well before the media war drums began to beat, but I'm glad for the peek behind the curtain.

"Free reporters" who report the truth unfettered can end up suicided.

True journalism is a deadly profession and all my admiration goes to those brave souls.

Yes because free speech will allow for someone to point out those who misinform and disinform & win the admiration (and votes) of the moral citizenry. That was the founders plan.

It's freedom of speech, just like opinions here. If people are too stupid the see BS then that is the problem.

So the government now allows some free speech and limits it for others, of their choosing. Another great plan.

As the population is dumbed down is this expected, people just believing what someone else says without thought about it..
