Here's what I perceive the mental reactions to this incident are:

Liberals: "Exactly as I expected, these right wingers are TERRORISTS!"

Conservatives: "These liberals set us up! But I still believe Trump is against the establishment!"


I really hate to break it to everyone but the reality is that "Trump" is a character that represents things in our minds. Most of what we associate with "Trump" is actually not real, it's formulated from memes that we created because it's funny or edgy, it's derived from how much the media are scripted to pretend they dislike him and his 'policies'.

95% of all of the associations and thought patterns we are having in relation to this aren't anywhere close to reality.

Here's a good example - we will argue about how the Obama admin spied on Trump right? Well have you noticed that almost no one discusses how every administration, even this one, still allows the practice of spying on virtually anyone and everyone they feel like?

They can check your emails, read your texts, listen in on your mic, look through your cameras - at any time they feel like. And if you somehow caught them in the act, there's nothing you can do because they will hide behind all this anti-Patriot legislation and pull out a piece of paper that says it's LEGAL.

And even if we somehow overcame the media puppeteering and made this surveillance issue the main issue, and even passed all these laws completely prohibiting it, what's going to happen? Nothing. They are still gonna spy and there's nothing you can do about it. That's the way it is and will be. They have the tech and can use it secretly, there's nothing that will stop this, not the Constitution, no judge or legislator, no president has any power in this matter. It's set in stone.
