Jim Acosta is the person who first tweeted this picture on his personal account.

That's a bit weird..since CNN was evacuated and he should have been no where near that bomb.

Hmmm

twitter.com...

I think the objective of this operation has already been achieved.. Sow further division in american society to usurp US democracy. I think it's another minor chess move by Putin in a much bigger game, a long game. I am not american, speaking from an outside perspective here.

So Jim took the bomb to his desk in order to get a picture for his Twitracus moment.

This story just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

I wonder how long it’s gonna take for the political ads to hit the airwaves. If they start within a day or two the Democrats already had them ready to go .

LMAO if you think that's how the bomb squad does it...just lmao.

Also LMAO if you think anyone would stop to take a couple pics of what they thought was a real bomb sitting on a desk. There is a front and back photo.

But hey! Looks like a bomb so it must be legit!

Um I'm thinking that is the symbol of Khorasan - an Al Qaeda linked group in Syria (originally operating in Pakistan-Afghanistan region).

Other threads are now reporting that the clocks on the bombs are fake?

If that's true, it explains why Acosta felt perfectly fine with snapping a quickie of the bomb.

Its really not that complicated.. Some moron intern brings in a package from the mail, opens and dumps it on the table. and goes "Oh f---" Everyone backs the eff away " dont touch it dont touch it"- alarms go off. Acosta runs to the scene instead of from and snaps a pic. Did I say thats how a bomb squad does it? No. But you like to gaslight that kinda thing

Thats just a hypothetical. the point is we both dont know what happened as of yet... But to assume things like- thats jim acostas desk- only adds fuel to an unneeded fire.

1. What is Khorasan? Khorasan is a division of al-Qaeda based in Syria. (Some analysts say it is actually not a formal division but rather an informal group of commanders.) It’s dedicated to planning and executing attacks on American and other Western targets, although it has not carried any out and details on the purportedly planned attacks seem sketchy at best.

Most of the group’s roughly two dozen operatives came to Syria from Afghanistan and Pakistan in 2012. Khorasan is allegedly led by Muhsin al-Fadhli — there are unconfirmed reports that Fadhli was killed by American bombs. He’s a longtime al-Qaeda veteran who was one of a handful to know about the September 11 attacks before they happened. The United States bombed targets it believed were connected to Khorasan on September 23, the same day it began bombing Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Syria. Those are the bare basics. Beyond that, there isn’t a lot known about Khorasan — and understanding these ambiguities is critical to understanding what degree of threat the group poses and its role in the broader Syrian conflict.

2. Where does the name “Khorasan” come from? Jabhat al-Nusra’s black flag. (أبو بكر السوري) “Khorasan” is a word used by al-Qaeda uses “to describe the Afghanistan-Pakistan-Iran region,” according to Aron Lund, an expert on Syrian rebel groups at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. (It is currently the name of a province in eastern Iran, along the Afghan border.) For jihadis, Khorasan also has a second, and more violent, meaning — one that al-Qaeda draws from classical Islamic teaching.

Specifically, the name is drawn from this hadith: “If you see the black banners coming from Khorasan, join that army, even if you have to crawl over ice; no power will be able to stop them. And they will finally reach Baitul Maqdis [Jerusalem], where they will erect their flags.”

This verse, former FBI counterterrorism agent Ali Soufan explains, is absolutely vital to al-Qaeda ideology. After all, al-Qaeda is headquartered in Afghanistan but aims to conquer the Middle East. Why shouldn’t the prophesied black banners be theirs? It should be noted that the authenticity of this hadith is very much in doubt, but the point is that al-Qaeda believes in it.

It’s not 100 percent clear that the group actually calls itself Khorasan — which, given that Khorasan refers to a region, would basically be the same as a National Guard unit from Virginia simply calling itself Virginia. For probably that reason, the US government internally refers to it as the Khorasan Shura [council], rather than simply Khorasan. But there is also some skepticism among analysts that this is the group’s name.

Oh, c'mon. All mass shooters are crazies that need little provocation to shoot at whoever they think represents the voices in their heads.

Dude or Dudette, you were the one citing him as a Conservative, not me.

Not my fault you used a totally wrong example to try and prove your point.

The first thing I do when I hear someone opened a bomb package is head over to it to take a selfie.

If it were a Trump supporter, wouldn't the letter have been addressed to Acosta?

I assume you referring to the pencil eraser verses steal frag ratio ?

And, you're the one citing James Hodgkinson as a mainstream leftist.

You cited:

Loughner was as CBS puts it: Ultimately, the network determined, “It seems illegitimate to tie Loughner to the mainstream right or mainstream left, as his beliefs were well within the realm of the fringe. Indeed, Loughner appears to have simply been a disturbed individual who lacked a coherent political philosophy other than a deep-seated anti-government sentiment.”

You think James Hodgkinson, who shot Scalise, was a mainstream leftist, and not a nut job?

How about Timothy McVeigh, who was enraged by the govt's actions at Ruby Ridge? Does he and his fellow bombers represent right wing patriots?

No, none of these shooters or bombers represent mainstream right or left. They're all crazies, paranoid and easily provoked.

None of the bombs exploded makes me think, should we trust this information the media tells us? Experts came inside,I have no idea if they told the truth either....I cannot trust a body of government this big with all the stuff and how much power they have..being critical of your government is suppose to be wise.
I question if Trump is telling the truth and if the Saudis actually killed this man..I do not know.

Well in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking at this matter in a different way and without fighting and by trying to make it clear, and by considering each and every ones opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.

LMAO!
