If been sober just for 21 days is a big deal, you got a problem.

If you stay sober until January, you solved that problem.

I will try my hardest to stay sober for a month as drink and me are not the best of friends when it comes to the hang-overs . 8-9 months sober is not unusual for me but when i get the taste

What exactly are you off of ? You already don’t drink ? Correct ?

If it’s herb we’re talking here, it’s becoming legal in Canada in a few short weeks.

I am actually thinking of doing a cleanse, and if I continue on with my medicinal CBD, I’ll probably try edibles.

I think it’s good to detox the system on occasion and smoking is just bad for your lungs 👎🏼

Wishing you perseverance TST. I heard the other day it only takes 40 some days to develop a new habit. It starts with one day at a time and continues that way until the weeks are flying by and you don’t miss it at all.

One way to quit a bad habit. Is to substitute it with something else. Do you like coffee?

If so when you have the urge to drink try a cup of Joe.

Or one of those foam, milk and coffee things that have coffee in them but you wouldn’t know it .

i dont drink

sober from the other thing

no real substitute for that but like i said in 21 days i have only had the thought of it would be nice right now a couple times

What is "the other thing?" There are lots of "other things." From your posts I think I know what your other thing is but enlighten us.....

Really? Bit simplistic... I was sober for 2 years. I still fell off the wagon yet again, and have struggled ever since. And 21 days is a decent achievement if you feel you have a problem with something. Sometimes even the most staunch of intent, lasts only a few days before you fool yourself into thinking one day won't hurt...

Correct- if staying sober for 21 days is a big deal, you very well may have a problem.

If you have a problem though, staying sober til January won't fix it. It will just return if you start up again in January.

They sure picked a bad month. What about Oktoberfest ?

At least it rhymes I guess?

It's leading up to "good temper November". Or is it "bad temper"?

yeah. It’s the hangovers that are disruptive if I drink too much, not the night before. I handle my drink just fine in the moment,
