I have been doing a sober life having never smoked cigarettes or other and having never been a drinker. Just never had a need or desire to.

I think it's great that you have been sober for 21 days , I hope in 21 years we are all still chatting on this site and you are saying how you are still sober.

One way to quit a bad habit. Is to substitute it with something else. Do you like coffee?

If so when you have the urge to drink try a cup of Joe.

Or one of those foam, milk and coffee things that have coffee in them but you wouldn’t know it .
That doesn’t work well re coffee as most people drink later in the day and for a lot of people, coffee that late would make them have trouble sleeping.

If been sober just for 21 days is a big deal, you got a problem.

If you stay sober until January, you solved that problem.
A lot of people drink very regularly. More than you might realize.

I start a new job Friday.
I'm pretty much resolved to drink a lot of beer and watch old monster movies and cartoons for the next couple of days.

Unlikely in the global South.

Our hot days just starting, tourist season just taking off.

Sunlight killing off the last flu bugs.

People wanna party.

It's Rocktober!

I will try my hardest to stay sober for a month as drink and me are not the best of friends when it comes to the hang-overs . 8-9 months sober is not unusual for me but when i get the taste
yeah. It’s the hangovers that are disruptive if I drink too much, not the night before. I handle my drink just fine in the moment,

I have been on medication the last year or so ,every time i take a drink now i seem to black out and fall the next day or two badly , i had a lucky escape last year falling in the shower i managed to make my bedroom then blacked out when i came to it looked like Dexter Morgan had chopped someone up on the bed with all the blood i lost due to medication to thin my blood , black eyes and a fall through a new television a couple of months ago and smashing into the refrigerator in the kitchen a few weeks ago the night after i had a bottle of wine bother me more than a hangover plus every time it happens means 6 months more before i can drive

Going to have a dry october

Day 22 and counting!
This is harder than I thought, but a good test.

I think the trickiest bit is being the only sober one when out in a group; it’s a bit ‘looking glass’ to say the least.
