You sound like you know more about the subject than I do. But, since President Trump has close to a perfect record with implementing policies that are successful, he deserves America's support on this one too.

I guess I don't share that optimism with you , but I hope you are right and I'm wrong.

the whole ethanol fuel thing came about lobbying not a need or desire by the consumers.It hits the consumer in the pockets several different ways and puts that money into the pockets of the lobbying industry that pushed for it. Its a snippet of what is wrong with our govt and big money lobbying influencing bad policies .

lal, he's still ahead, but it's close. This part of CA has been traditionally red, but like I said, big bucks are being spent to defeat him. Water is a BIG issue here in Farm / Orchard / Cattle country and Nunes has fought hard for these industries and is well liked. People around here seem to stick together, so I'm hopeful he'll win.

This will help farmers against the Chinese tariffs.

No doubt ,but there are better ways to go about it. BS'ing the public is BS whether the Left does it or the right does it.

If the farmers need help then lets give them help , but don't BS and push for bad policy with a hidden agenda.

It did cross my mind yesterday that RR was with POTUS as a deterrent to an attack. Then I thought that might be better for them, take them both out.

Doubtful, I'm sure the Black Hats wouldn't blink an eye taking out one of their "friendlies" to achieve their goals. Everyone except the very top is expendable for the cause.

Finally something I'm qualified to talk about.

Ethanol gas is awesome, E85.

105-110 octane, plus it's greater evaporative cooling effect effect allows a greater charge density.

An engine properly tuned for it can be 275hp on 91-93 octane gas and be 400hp on E85.

Subsidy makes it about the same price as regular. Basically it's race fuel for the price of 87, if your car is set-up for it.

It's coming to stations everyplace, along with E30 or E40. Newer engines designs are forthcoming to take full advantage of it. People have to get away from thinking MPG, it's more accurate to think of miles per dollar, or cents per mile.

I use a gallon or two in my 93 to perk it up, my engine is not Flex-Fuel compatible, but it works.

Actually, in used cars a few gallons will clean out the system really well. There's a vid on YouTube of a guy running lawnmower engines on all different fuels, with a plexiglass window you can see all the different fuels burn differently, propane, rum, tequlia etc etc. All leave a black deposit. When he uses the ethanol, it washes away the deposits.
