I think President Trump is going to be removed from office.

I have read the OP's linked article in the NYT. It is a little exasperating because it is typically "adminstrative", that is ethically tortured.

Officials who cannot execute the president's orders and directives should resign, not sabotage.

But these are largely Republican officials, of course, who remind one of Churchill's oft quoted assessment of Americans, "They usually do the right thing, but only after exhausting all other alternatives."

They should hire a bus and walk out en mass, if this is actually going on. The writer of the op ed piece says he and his colleagues are worried about precipitating a constitutional crisis if the 25th Amendment were to be invoked; calling for the removal of the president by reason of his not being capable of performing his duties. Believe me, we are there already.

Trump will be served with articles of impeachment by November at the latest and maybe before then.

Caleb Howe at Mediaite is connecting the lodestar comment to Pence. Right now, I'd say Pence is leading as the most probable saboteur, with his speech writer running a close second....but the day is young.

Yes, I do remember that incident. It involved some truly undemocratic acts, that included putting a reporter in jail for not revealing a source. A reporter who didnt even reveal Plame but simply because they thought she knew who the source was. So far, Trump has not managed that undemocratic move.
