Jim Stone will tell you have put a substance in petrol to make it go off after its been left to sit for any more than a few weeks.

He will also tell you they did to stop the survivalist terros. Did as a national security measure.

Why would you ruin perfectly good paint by putting saltines in it, or throwing it in the fire and such???

Everyone knows (and I mean EVERYONE) yer 'sposed to gnaw yer paint off the door frame with your tooths! 'Specially the leaded kind!

I don't have much to say about your experiment, but I agree wholeheartedly that stale saltine crackers are inedible.

And eating them wasnt even possible (despite having toppings worth roughing it for all ready to go), as they tasted like... paint.

How do you know what paint tastes like, and how often do you eat it?

It's often said the road to hell is paved with stale saltine crackers. Old sayings are often true.

This is why we keep chickens. All the non-poultry-based table scraps, plus vegetables "rediscovered" in the bottom drawer of the fridge, all become chicken fodder.

The girls like a bit of a crunch. And they are ok with salt/spice.

A few of their favorites, in no apparent order:

-pizza crust
-powder (i.e., flavor crystals) from the bottom of a Doritos bag
-fish guts from cleaning the catch of the day
-leftover worms from fishing trip
-the hard, plastic-like dried-out edge of a slice of cheese.
-corn cobs from sweet corn at the barbecue.
-moldy bread
-moldy pancakes
-old Halloween Candy (but not the candy corn)
-old sunflower heads with the seeds in
- a field mouse caught stealing their Halloween candy
-leftover cooked rice
-rotten fruit.

Makes you wonder what candy corn is made out of.
I'm the only person I know that likes it!

We have some old recipes that use saltines sort of like breadcrumbs for coating things and also to use in meatloaf and meatballs to counteract the egg.
