BREAKING: "Illegal Alien" in Custody For Mollie Tibbetts' Death

With the announcement of Molly Tibbetts' body being found this morning...Just now, in a press conference, authorities have announced they have arrested a suspect in her death.
With few details released thus far, the suspect is described by police as being an "illegal alien" and is being charged with first degree murder.

It appears there has been a confession.

Christian Bajina Rivera, the suspect in the Mollie Tibbetts’ death, is under arrest, and Rivera is “subject to immigration detainer,” The Washington Post reported.

“We have confirmed with Homeland Security that…he is an illegal alien,” authorities said during a news conference.

They said that Christian Rivera had been in the area for four to seven years. He was charged with an accusation of first-degree murder. Authorities said that Rivera allegedly confessed that he “seized Mollie running.”

He alleged that he “ran alongside of her or behind her” and Mollie said she was going to call the police and took off running, but he allegedly chased her down. According to authorities, Rivera led authorities to Mollie’s body.

Going to honest here but to assume that is kinda messed up. Either way I truly do hope they got the correct perp. If not than we have a killer on the loose.

Already alluding to some mental defect defense of getting mad and blacking out.

What a terrible tragedy, I hope if this guy is guilty he gets the maximum punishment.

I am against illegal immigration and a strong advocate for border enforcement.

And a better immigration system may have been able to prevent this.

But lets not pretend this makes all illegals murders, any more than showing one DACA recipient that is a valedictorian and marine proves they are all that.

Police have a confession and there is other evidence, apparently.
They seem confident they've arrested the right man.
Hopefully, this will add some small comfort and closure for her grieving family and friends.

Because the media loves it when a pretty little white girl is the victim. You know, white privilege and all that...

Good question. I think this young woman's story pulled at the heartstrings of parents around the country.
I know I've been following since it was first announced.

If he "blacked out"...how could he tell them where the body was to be found?

Let's see if Iowa pushes to bring the death penalty back.

I would guess the town itself had already put detectives on the trail of the workers in the area. It is a farming town and likely has a LOT of illegals working there. My guess would be this is why the story became big....folks had a hunch this would be the case whether found alive or dead.
