President Trump has pardoned the late Jack Johnson for a BS "crime" from many years ago. I cannot believe Obama didn't do it, nor anyone before him.

Trump cares more about people and America than the Statists that came before him. It is good to see justice being served if not belatedly.

Yes, Trump pardoned him. Why didn't anyone previously do it?

Because they were busy pardoning living people whose own sentences were BS?

So why doesn't he pardon everyone prosecuted for the same crime?

You mean like Oscar Lopez Rivera?

What was Obama thinking, however, when he ordered the release of Oscar Lopez Rivera? During the 1970s, Lopez Rivera headed a Chicago-based cell of the Armed Forces of National Liberation (FALN), which waged a futile but violent struggle to win Puerto Rican independence
The FALN claimed responsibility for more than 120 bombings between 1974 and 1983 in a wave of senseless destruction that killed six and injured dozens. In 1981, a federal court in Chicago sentenced Lopez Rivera, then 37, to 55 years for seditious conspiracy, armed robbery, interstate transportation of firearms and conspiracy to transport explosives with intent to destroy government property.

From your source

“I believe Jack Johnson is a worthy person to receive a pardon, to correct a wrong in our history,” Trump said.

nice thing he did

That was the headline. Blame it on the media, not President Trump.

I don’t know, he’s dead maybe? The only reason a person would do this is to use Jack Johnson for some kind of political capital.

And I doubt Jack is doing the happy dance in the afterlife knowing he’s being used by a politician, just like he was when he was alive.

But hey, Trump did it. So I assume it was an amazing pardon. The best.

So you disagree with the pardon. Do you think that Johnson was rightfully arrested for violating the Mann act?

Questioning isn't yelling.

Why didn't Obama do it though? Seems like a slam dunk PR move for him. I find it quite odd that he didn't. Seems like a no brainer to me.

You come in to every single thread involving Trump and deflect. Tell us how unpartisan you are again. I like that story.

And it would've been hard to include this guy? What you think Obama did all the work? He just signed the paper. It would literally take next to no effort to include one more name.

What a stupid point you made. Ridiculous.

And there it is. A perfect example of why things will get much worse in this country before they get better.

The fact of the pardon is less significant than the imagined reason for it.

Bravo.

Why didn't Trump also pardon anyone living that are serving ridiculous sentences? The blade cuts both ways.
