Cut their leash I say and get that family out of the constitution of the UK. Absolutely archaic and undemocratic insttution which needs to be abolished in my opinion.

I am just joking, I thought that was pretty obvious since when was the last time any royal had their head cut off? Probably a long time ago

I am an abolitionist but I dont wish physical harm to the queen or the royal family no matter how obscene they are !
they should just step down so we can form a republic and a real constitution and do away with all of those un-elected lords, ladies, priests , bishops whatever !

Then elect people who actually are based in reality , not having "cookie cutter" politicians being groomed from birth to rule the nation!

Aye its purely metaphorical , cut of the head of the serpent!

and begin a new democracy from the ashes of our previous attempt
the thing is we have left these unelected lords , aristocracy , land owners take the piss out of the hard working people of the British Isles for far too long , and what did we get a British flag and told to keep calm smile and carry on , keep that upper lip stiff and everything will work out all right !
because our betters are taking care of it for us!

So why is it that appears the majority of Britons feel that they are misrepresented by government , are oppressed by government , then why the # is westminster still operating>??

Brainwashing is the reason, get that good old love for a bit of pomp and royal weddings so the serfs are happy with their scraps of meat.
It is an absolute scandal in a 21st century nation to me that a single rich family determines the head of state based on accident of birth.
Same with the unelected second chamber, I'd chuck them all out in a heartbeat and have them elected under a proportional representation system of voting.
Vive la révolution!

Imagine all the public cash that would be saved! Not to mention that I would have a chance at getting into Megs knicks without being bopped by a royal bodyguard!

Pepsi is better!
...off topic but do you remember the 'flying saucer' sweets from childhood filled with sherbet? I snorted one one, don't, just don't, it burns like #!!
On-topic, I wonder who supplies the royals stash when they get on it? Security services, or just a minor servant who wants to make a cheeky fifty quid on top off their wages?

Nom nom... loved those sherbet sweets... remember the sherbet tubes with the Barrats liquorice sticks?

Would be nice to be the cash holder... I’m guessing that a body guard holds the dosh.

I only ever ate the sherbet...if I was king I'd ban liquorice and send my troops to burn down every liquorice factory.
Constitutional crisis? Bring it on!

LMAO you think the UK only gets it's scraps of bread from having a 'royal' family???
Would you have been a Cavalier then? LMFAO!!

That and the Big Houses, yes. Look up the stats yourself. What else do you have going? Industry? I don't think so. The funny thing is, you killed the goose that laid the golden egg by "taxing the rich until their pips squeak," and now, surprise. No more empire. You so resented the rich that you turned everyone poor, a classic case of the descent into socialist "paradise."

Socialist paradise ?

There are more millionaires than ever before in the UK and only China, the US and Japan have more

So what has been the catalyst for such millionaire growth? The BCG report attributed the growth in global wealth to “accelerating economic growth and the strong performance of stock markets in many parts of the world.” Indeed, those owning shares in UK companies prospered handsomely last year: the FTSE 100 rose 14.43% in 2016, according to the London Stock Exchange.

Yay socialism.
