I think it removes the star if you previously starred it and then clicked again!

I wondered, because I noticed an ability to click a star again after a little while.

It´s system relevant. Hit refresh and you will see the star has not been saved. This tells me your userid or username is saved when you star a thread, in theory you could solve the million star bug with this information. Had a talk with SO a while ago about that problem.

Incorrect. Starring a post you have already starred does not unstar it. That only happens with flags. ATS seems to be overloaded these last few months and I notice that starring a post can take a few moments. Probably a bandwidth problem or some other technical issue. It's minor but noticeable at certain times for me too. If you star a post twice and it eventually registers, even though you flag the same post a second time and the new green star appears, after a refresh of the page ATS will only let you flag a post once.

OK, I've done so poorly in these lately I swore I wasn't going to do another one for a while.

It will be several days as I'm going on a trip. But I'll be back. With my ink on.
