Well, all you have is an announcement with little to no details so you may not want to put all your eggs in a basket just yet. But why even give a Democrat Socialist a chance? Attack and belittle! MAGA!!!! TRUMP WILL FIX IT ALL BY HIMSELF! HE SAID SO, HIMSELF!!

Thats true.

I too will be running for congress.

My platform will be everyone gets to live forever with unlimited wealth!

I will be looking forward to your vote!

Sorry, but I can't vote for someone who makes less than $15 an hour. It shows a lack of ambition.

You probably don't even pay taxes.

That's a pretty good deal.

I'd like to see the full proposal before leaning one way or the other, but then I'm one of those weird people who likes to actually hear an idea before shooting it down.

He was touting the same BS in the 2016 Campaign.

He didn't have the answers then and he don't have 'em now.

🤣

I'm well aware of the difference between the two, even though we don't know Sanders full plan, but at the end of the day jobs are jobs.

Sanders has already thrown his hat in the ring for 2020? If he does, you just know Hillary will too.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is set to announce a federal jobs proposal that would guarantee a job with at least a $15-per-hour wage and health benefits to every adult American “who wants or needs one,” The Washington Post reports.

The senator is still in the early stages of crafting the plan, according to the Post, which would provide a job or required training for any American.

Sanders's office has yet to release the details of the plan's funding, but previous large-scale projects proposed by the Vermont progressive have involved ending tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans and large corporations.

Hahahahaha!!!

As the first comment on the article says, open borders ( I know that is hyperbole, but still funny) and jobs for all, what could go wrong!

I dont even know what to say about this.

Does this man honsostly believe that the federal government can just magically create all of these $15 an hour jobs? Where will the money come from?

Well he just says rich people. The private sector will be decimated as all job creators able to will leave the country.

The size of the government will expand exponentially.

Just add this on the bill for the free health care and college for all though.

Socialism, its a hell of a thing!

Fake news at least show a video of him saying these things. I'm not taking some right wing news sites word for it.

Hahahaha!!!!

Good stuff!!

Nah, I am just the living embodiment of what the socialist claim to be; a worker living within my means.

Now if I could only make a couple dozen million, I could pontificate about how the poor need to use less fuel, allow more immigrants in, and how every other rich person needs to pay more.

He's one of the poorest Senators in DC but if he was rich as you think he is then wouldn't he be doing the country as justice by ending all the endless loopholes and tax breaks for his class?

Please don't tell me you haven't figured out the game they play. The "RAISE THE TAXES EARLY AND OFTEN!!!" crowd held Congressional and presidential control 2009-2011... strange how they dropped that issue until 2012 when they weren't in power again, ya?

It's all smoke and mirrors. The left, including Sanders, will never raise taxes on themselves, period. They'll pass BS tax plans that raise taxes on the middle class (who they need pushed down into the Kept Voter category to ensure more vote support for the Hand That Feeds) while barely making a dent in the income of the donor class.

I'm actually in favour of a WPA-style unskilled labour program, but I want it to replace the welfare program.

The hill is predominantly left wing.

But hey, whatever it takes to ignore reality.

Oh, you think Bernie wants to gives jobs to everyone, even those damned illegal immigrants! Of course that's on your mind.

So you seem to know everything about Sanders to know that he doesn't want people to actually have jobs? I guess you and Sanders know his grand plan of just giving everyone (damned illegal immigrants included) free money off the backs of the demonized and misunderstand wealthy elite?

anders' July 2015 personal filing lists assets valued at between $194,026 and $741,000 in his wife Jane Sanders' name -- with the majority of these assets held in investment funds. The filing also lists credit card debt between $25,002 and $65,000.

OMG! She's almost worth a cool million! I bet she even worked for it!

Poorest Senator in DC.

He doesnt know the full plan!!!

He ran on giving away trillions of dollars in free stuff in 2016, and couldnt articulate how he would pay for it other than saying "The rich need to pay more!"

We are laughing at the fact that he promises all of this free stuff and massive redistribution of wealth, and has given no details whatsoever as to how that would work.

No, they're not. In no way whatsoever are "jobs just jobs." There's a vital element of choice and freedom in domestic sector private jobs which isn't present in public jobs. I can decide, for instance, Company XYZ is mismanaging their assets, their product is crap, or I dislike what their CEO said the other day, and stop doing business with them. Last I checked saying "Screw you, you're a GD liar" to a government employee doesn't grant you the freedom to stop paying whatever tax the government saddled you with to fund that employee's job.

Furthermore, why in the blue hell should any freedom loving American want ANY growth of the federal government when it's already an overbloated pandering machine of worthlessness?

Is fraud considered "work?"

She's a big girl, so I assume there was the same amount of sweat involved as if she'd actually worked for her assets, so...

Nothing Bernie Sanders does or says is based in reality.

He is an epic failure of ideas.

even though we don't know Sanders full plan,

Hey Joe, come try this sandwich!
OK, what's in it?
All I know is it has a big turd in the middle of it, not sure what else it contains or how it was made.
Gack! Screw you! I'm not taking a bite of that. What's wrong with you?
C'mon Joe, you don't even know what else is in it yet. You're so closed minded.

That's essentially what I'm reading from anyone who plays the "don't even know what the plan entails" card. It's a giant S*it sandwich... I honestly don't need to know any of the details to know it's gonna taste like s*it, cause horrible suffering and illnesses, and ultimately leave us looking like we've just eaten a s*it sandwich.
