I am also having a bad lag here on ATS. For

Sorry state of affairs but the DOJ and the FBI can not,
I repeat can NOT be trusted to investigate themselves.

Special Counsel is the only thing Americans will trust now.

I would agree with you, but it is warranted. If we are to trust the system then when it is violated it must respond or cease to exist.

I do think the Russia probe should continue under the FBI with DOJ supervision until they are satisfied.
Within reason.

We do need a special counsel to just start cleaving into any corruption they could possibly find.

I say do it and may it be fruitful.

And hold Trump accountable for the unconstitutional airstrike in Syria. Only Congress should print money and declare war. Again, if we are to trust the system....

Also, Audit /End the Fed.

You get what I am saying. Go for broke. Saturate it all so no response can be controlled.

The irony of your post is funny.

Mueller was FBI director for years, so why would he be trusted as Special Counsel now?

Not really sure anyone at this level can be completely trusted to be unbiased....they all know eachother and have worked together for years....

I agree with the next installment being dynamite. Legal Detectives are already finding bombshells in the McCabe report, pointing to Rod Rosenstein as an extremely deceitful liar and backstabber. Newt Gingrich described this tonight on Hannity, by dissecting info in the I.G. report on McCabe's interaction with Rosenstein, with the long letter that Rosenstein wrote in early 2017, recommending that President Trump fire James Comey.

The reason I prefer handling it within the doj is that as we are seeing with mueller, these special counsels almost always expand to areas they have no business going in to

But I got to admit, I wouldn’t really feel bad seeing someone like Comey or Hillary have their life turned upside down for years l, lawyers houses raided, etc.

The SC can get to people that are not employed anymore. Comey, McCabe, Lerner, Clinton.

Can get to lawyers and bust up A/C privilege by passing to a state DA.

Get it going! Vague parameters and unlimited time and money!

If James Comey were named as Special Counsel, he'd label everyone and every incident related to Obama as a "matter", then proceed directly to investigating Trump for drugs that can cause orange tanlines.

Which was the point of my off topic note at the end. The general public should have an unfiltered look at these SC's and be allowed to double check their work without the bias of media.
