I'm not sure if I play well with others, and are tin foil hats water proof, British summers and weather?!

TENT? What's wrong with sleeping under a fallen tree or an overhanging rock?

I'm already doing that now!!!

I’m in the south west, and I want to organise some kind of get together, probably a weekend camping in summer, either in Forest of Dean or New Forest, which is near me

That ain't the South West!

I vote you camp down my way on a secluded smugglers beach where nobody can hear you scream

Where I used to live in Devon people would gather driftwood and light a big fire on the beach. After a while the rocks would start exploding.

Haha we do that every summer, and yep exploding stones can be an issue!
Nothing like camping on a beach though, often get friendly seals mooching about for some free food as well.

You sick MOFO!!!
Seals are amazing animals, I prefer to play with them while swimming, not eat them!

Yay!
I put a post out a few years back to arrange a 'gathering'.
But I did go to one arranged by Gordi the Drummer on the Isle of Cumbrae....beautiful!

Currently on the outskirts of Gloucester so The Forest suits me well, but happy to travel....Oh, and yes I have a tent

Tent is VERY important when it comes to camping

I had a 80 pound tent once, it was #.

I invested 400 pounds into a proper tent... soooo cool, easy to set up, comfy inside, can withstand rain snow wind

Sorry, I don't want to cause too much a fuss but this thread needs a jolly splendid soundtrack.

I love the Brits, never met one I didn't like. And lucky me, I have one in my family too!
