Why is so much emphasis being placed on preventing only 1/2 of 1%, of the firearm murders of our nation's children? Just the School Shootings?

Are the other 99.5% of children murdered by gun, acceptable losses?

God I hope our country has not become that dysfunctional and callous!

The thing is, when you have an age range of 0-19, you're also including that 15-19 year old age range where issues such as gang activity, drugs, etc, are very often the underlying issue, and no one has answers to those problems, plus the very subject tends to be inconvenient to those pushing the gun control narrative. And so it isn't mentioned much.
