I've read through the comments, but I haven't seen any yet mention chat apps or some other social media platforms.

The youngsters I see on my daily commute seem to be totally engrossed with whatsapp. I even see them chatting through the app when they are barely a few feet away from each other. For the love of God, are these people the future of our society? Are these kids the future 'professionals' we will be obliged to approach for our medical, legal, nutritional, scientific or political needs. I like to think that there are still many conscientious teenagers that don't succumb to peer pressure and being brainwashed, but are there enough to give society hope of progressing, rather than regressing and imploding to some kind of primordial state.

Nevertheless, I was curious as to how much data is flowing through social media hubs and came across an interesting website. I hope it's ok to link to it here. I think it gives us a good perspective of how much people (not just youths) use and are hooked on social media; how nefarious their actions are is a totally different question.

I think you missed your mark, the Mud Pit would be better suited for your purpose. My Son was 4.0 all through school, my Daughter somewhat less, but now works for Ford Corporation. I raised both alone from 3 and 5 years old. They have been and done things many adults never will even dream of doing, skydiving, mountain repelling, co-piloting a helicopter, and at an early age, 9 and 12, along with so much more. Never did I have Police bringing my kids home or complaints from neighbors, just the opposite was true, being praised about their consideration, kindness and manners.

Yours is one of many methods, and will likely receive no adherents as you project your iron will. Do you have children ? I see you say a Daughter, I would caution you against being tyrannical in your method, or you will be a lonely parent in the future as soon as they are able to escape, and make no mistake, they will finally find the courage to tell you to go pound sand. Not a kind future awaits if you do not cultivate some love and trust.

The question was , how do you feel about Twitter , etc. storing child porn on their servers ? Not assuming how it got there. It is a criminal offense no matter how.
