Project Veritas, are they really trying to get Trump's favorite social media tool shut down? If so, this will be the first time I support them and their quest!

Shut it down!

Facebook, Instagram, Cloud storage, Imgur and the rest of them too. Facebook wants people to update their nudes now so they can be copy-written.These are a goldmine for those looking for it.

How about the celebrity hacking with the hackers getting into the Cloud servers. Any whistle blowers there about what they found? Sadly, they probably went for the celebrity nudes profits instead.

My father didn't understand Dungeons and Dragons when I was eleven. But he did understand my grades were falling, and that I was spending an awful lot of time with my D&D stuff.

He grabbed everything, took it to his office building, and locked it in his safe until I could prove to him that I was going to be more serious about my grades.

I realize there are a lot of people who don't understand computers. Or cell phones. However, IMHO, as a parent, WTF are you doing giving your children access to something that you yourself do not understand?

My 10 year old knows that when I do get her a computer, it will be keylogged. Will I review it ? Maybe. Maybe not. The real deterrent factor is that she KNOWS it is not by any means private. But, it helps her understand that the moment you do something online, it is NOT private.

Parents have responsibilities. They are responsible for their children's well being. Internet access is NOT a necessity for a child's well being. Most arguments would go towards the opposite, actually.

If you can't muster up the courage to BE THE PARENT, then find someone who is capable of it, and give them your children...... as you are not fit parenting material.

So children sending/uploading naked pictures of themselves is Twitter's fault.

This is what happens when "parenting," is substituted for cell phones, internet, and video games.

Also why I never want to have children. Why actually be a parent, disciplining your children, teaching them life lessons, when you can just let them run free and then blame the Twitter for them taking naked pictures of themselves and sending it to other minors.

Thank you, always good to know that you're not alone in how you perceive the reality of things.

No freaking wonder the current batch of "young adult" millennials are so ill equipped for life.

Exactly there is a disconnect between parents these days and phones/ the internet. Maybe some are soo busy on Tinder, etc., they forget that their children might be falling prey to the same thing they are willingly doing.

Of course, they shouldn't keep them, quality control failures when these are uploaded to their servers? Recall Microsoft employees testaments on going through such files. It's a sad case overall.

No, the govt would seize it then Trump can be the CEO of Twitter because he is the CEO of the USA.

You should be more careful of what you wish for.

Hate to say it, but if you're allowing your thirteen year old to use twitter.....

Perhaps your parenting credentials need to be reviewed. Just sayin.

I agree, but that doesn't change the fact they are storing these images of children in house and reviewing them daily.

I can think of several image hosting, and websites on the internet that probably have hundreds of thousands of underage photos on them. They are uploaded every second, saved, shared and stored, etc, etc. It's extremely difficult to govern it all.

I still browse 4chan and reddit from time to time, and some of the pictures shared there are extremely questionable. Just imagine twitter or snapchat, the amount of traffic is triple reddit and 4chan.

Can you please give us a breakdown on how to keep your child from using twitter? I mean restricting access to the internet at home is simple enough. But the child goes to school. Maybe they save their allowance to buy a $20 smart phone or cheap tablet they do not tell their parent about. Could you please explain how I as a parent can be certain my kids are not hiding a cheap $20 unregulated piece of communication technology with no age restriction? And then using it at a friends house or even at school through wi-fi?? Yes, schools have wi-fi.

Am I supposed to home school them, follow them with a micro drone 24/7 , lock them in a cage?? I need to know, I don't want my child using twitter. How would you be 100% certain?? Help me understand please.

Interesting....the US gov becoming the owners of the largest "media outlet" by EO seizure. Now wouldn't that be some irony...

And all are subject to the EO recently signed.

This same theory however, applies to any website in existence that allows upload of images/files. Theoretically, somebody on ATS could be hiding just such images on their servers right now in a sleeper account. Clearly the only solution is to allow Skynet open access to the internet to scan every server and database in existence and purge all such files in real time. I do not see any other solution that would even make enforcing this particular revelation possible without being accused of targeted censorship.

Carefully understand I in no way am defending this activity. But you need to understand, how do we prove/enforce/prosecute this?? Every single website that allows images is likely hosting similar content on their servers.

It's really very simple.

Blame the parents, as they are the ones TO be blamed.

I am sick and frakking tired of watching the fingers all point places they don't belong.

Parents fault if they dont stand over their kids 24/7, snatch their phone from them every 20 minutes and make sure they are doing the dumb snip that kids do.

Maybe they should install cameras in their rooms and bathrooms to watch them make sure they cant even masturbate, while they're at it? That's the level of "parenting" (surveillance totalitarianism) you're insisting on.

Unless the discussion is to ban social media out of their lives until adulthood (good luck with that), which might not be a bad idea but for other more profound reasons than kids doing what they do 'anyways'.

All that so precious Twitter cant get a bad rap for perma-storing all the photos in the system and having hundreds of perverts under their employ. I'm watching YOU now buddy!

Hope you're having fun with this. It's not a joking matter.

You either do what it takes to be a good parent for your child, or you don't. Pure and simple.

Soros dumped I believe all stock in Twitter, Facebook, Apple and Snapchat back in November...whatcha wanna bet he knew this was coming?

That tells me that we may likely see the other 3 begin to get hit if this goes down how it appears to be..

My ten year old does not have a phone. Nor does she have (or need to have) the money to buy a burner.

And at school, I've gone in and seen the equipment they use. Also, reviewed with the teacher what they are and are not allowed to use.

Folks, it's really quite simple. As a parent, you CAN intervene. You merely have to have the will to do so. And having a very good and open dialog with your children helps as well.

Blame the parents my a$$. Like it or not, and no matter what you do... today's kids will be singing about penises and vaginas and will be familiar with every sex position possible by the time they're 9.

Say hello to the ugly side of this wonderful technology.

Make of it what you will. Simply put, when you become a parent, you are *responsible* for your child's well being.

I believe in that. I believe strongly in that.

If my opinion offend, mucho apologies, however..... it is merely my opinion.

Toughen up, or perhaps make yourself not quite so vulnerable to the idea that the truth hurts.

How's that pathetic, defeatist attitude working for you?

Either stand up, or get rolled over. It's a choice.
