This is certainly interesting. Make of it what you will, but it's certainly not fake news since it's on the official White House website.

I've yet to hear a peep from the MSM about this...

Bush and Obama beat him to it.

Addendum (and Responses) to U.S. Human Trafficking Awareness Day

In 2007 President Bush declared January 11th National Trafficking Awareness Day*. President Obama later expanded this to declare January National Trafficking Awareness Month. The Sex Worker Media Library presents the 2nd edition of “Anti-Trafficking Industrial Complex Awareness Month (ATIC)," as an addendum and an antidote to the U.S. government's month long campaign.

January declared U.S. anti-trafficking month

If you read the small quoted paragraph in my post you would have read that Bush started it with a day and then Obama expanded it to the entire month of January.

I'm aware of Obama instituting this. But when you factor in the Executive Order from just 9 days ago that freezes the accounts of human traffickers,

www.whitehouse.gov...

Plus the 4,000+ sealed indictments filed in one month alone, it becomes something of significance.

No, I don’t think you did and you’re just trying to save face at this point. That all said, stopping modern slavery is clearly the right thing to do and I support Team Trump in the continuation of it.

I really like how i never heard about these months when Obama was president. People seriously believed that Trump was the first to announce these months and it's a bad thing. Can't wait until the bubble of invulnerability surrounding Obama pops. He deserves to be locked up.

I never heard of it before either all this human trafficking talk reminds me of an old topic where the U N wanted to legalize prostitution.

Who said it was a bad thing?

I see people saying that people were not cheering when it was done before.

Also, the Global Magnitsky Act was signed in by Obama. Trump's order doesn't change anything, it's grandstanding.

Haha save face? Please don't tell me what I know.

And please don't assume that I started a partisan, pro-Trump thread. I pointed this bit of news out because in conjunction with the other 2 factors I mentioned, it raises eyebrows.
