BAD NEWS - Las Vegas Mass Murderer Stephen Paddock Fits No Existing Terrorist Profile.

Not being callous when I say this, (given the information we currently have), he may have had it with country music and it's fan base.

It could be that simple....who knows at this point.

People are hoping to find a darker reason or reasons, but who knows.

I saw stories claiming that ISIS said he's one of theirs, but it hasn't been confirmed yet. Their claims are usually somewhat credible though, so we'll see if it pans out.

Others are claiming that the guy was active in hard-left political rallies, which I haven't seen confirmed yet either.

Considering the target though, and also ignoring any conspiracy theories, it's plausible this was a politically driven massacre.

If any of those theories are proven true, this thread can be shut down. Mystery solved.

It does seem as if Paddock was a "restless millionaire". He moved something like 27 times, gambled all the time, attended lots of shows...just restless.

It is more than 20. It is being reported that there are at least 35 weapons and they have found explosive materials. They are investigating at least three places including Mesquite and a house in northern Nevada. Ammonium nitrate was found in the car and the car supposedly actually belongs to Marilou Danley.

Have we uncovered a terrorist cell? It is a strong possibility. I'm interested in the woman. I heard she has two grown sons names Ali and Zafir.....don't know if that is true, but aren't those muslim names?

I got the impression from the article that his family didn't really know him very well at all - which is a red flag in itself. One brother said he hadn't even spoken to him in 10 years. So I'm not exactly sure how this article helps at all in identifying a motive or creating a profile.

I agree. Of course you wouldn't abandon existing profiles for identifying potential mass murdering terrorists. It's just possible that a new profile will be added to the matrix.... "Bored Millionaire".

I think he should be considered a terrorist just based on his method and body count.
