Trump-hating Emmy Awards were the lowest-rated ever.

Article at Breitbart.
The numbers for this year's Emmy Awards are in, and whoo boy did they suck. Last year's awards had the lowest ratings ever, and this year's are likely even worse. There's a small chance they might come in a bit higher, but probably not.

Seems that Hollywood needs to learn the same lesson that NFL players need to learn: insulting half your fanbase is a stupid move.

2015 was an all time low. Then 2016 was a new all time low. And now 2017 is another all time low.

The decline started before Trump.

I suggest the decline therefore has nothing to do with Trump.

Stopping being logical and reasonable. Obviously for the self-centered megalomaniacs it's all about Trump!

Only complete idiots listen to these useless Leftist celebrities while they live in their made up, fantasy land derangement.
I haven't given them a dime of my money at the movie theater for over 20 years.

All that really matters here is that Alec Baldwin has won an Emmy for his work in television, and Donald Trump didn't.

Awards are for people who like getting awards.

Its like watching a live feed of a High School Prom in some city Ive never been to.

The decline may have started in 2015 pre-Trump, but the same reasons its down are the same that got Trump elected.

Boycotting awards shows due to lack of black nominees, yet, no whites won at the BET awards, certainly no more nominated.

People are getting tired of the squeaky wheels getting the grease just because they yell louder.

Well, Sean Spicer said this year's Emmy's had the largest audience ever, both in person and around the world! Who ya gonna believe?

I think that everything being political started the slide. People just want to be entertained and forget the world's issues.

Well, it is true Brietbart hates on Trump.

Stage set, waiting for the WWE Presider to trash talk back...

The Twitterverse will lite up like a pin ball machine and pay off in silver dollars!

No it's not. I checked. This is a fact. The NFL kicked everyone's ass.

LOL, no, it's the attitude. The same attitude that drove enough people to vote for Donald J. Trump for president of the US, just to spite, "the attitude".

But until the arrogance subsides, expect more of the same.

What a shock people want to be entertained not lectured.

Rule #1 of business should be not to turn off about half the country.

It's easier to sell to 350 million people than 175M. But what do I know? Probably going right out the gate with politics wasn't very smart either.

I'm sure people will have their reasons (excuses) why it was lower.

With the division of the right I hardly think Trump has 175 mil supporters. Subtract 100 mil and you'd be closer.

ETA: There is 70 mil(20%) that are between the ages of 0-14:

Pretty sure very few even think about politics.

Honestly, who wants to see a bunch of over-paid, self centered, living-in-a-bubble group of people pat themselves on the back and worship their golden idols for the sakeof entertainment?

What exactly do they contribute to society again?
Besides that, who still watches cable anyway?

They just needed an echo chamber to spout off their nonsensical beliefs to all us peasants.

I don't understand why people even care.

Good to know that the Emmy's are still a thing...and that Alec Baldwin gets his long overdue recognition--though for what, I'm not certain.

I guess I should be happy it's still a thing...though I can't recall the last TV award show I watched.
