I hope he doesn't pardon, but you never know. I find the idea of a sheriff breaking the law, and then getting pardoned to be the peak of hypocrisy though, it really casts doubt on if all of his victims deserved his form of jail when the man himself commits a serious crime and gets out of it. Authority figures should be held to a higher standard.

Then again, I hear people with pardons tend to do pretty well at Fox.

Why bother?
Not like he's going to see any jail time.

Well, Trump himself admitted, publically, that Barack Obama was born in the Untied States and is a natural born citizen.

He said it, but he doesn't really believe it.

Sheriff Arpaio is even famous here in the uk , the guy who rides or did around on a tank on the back of a truck dressed like Paton worked prisoners for a 12 hr day and gave them 20 cents worth of food .

Pardon that guy straight away -you need more like him

I suppose that also goes for what he said today about condemning the KKK, Neo Nazis and White Supremacists groups too?

Nah, I don't think he likes those guys, so he was telling the truth. But the birth certificate thing is just too dicey to jump in to for political reasons, and the fake news pundits all support Obama no matter what kind of human trash he is. Anyone in their right mind is going to say Obama was born here under those conditions.

I would favor President Trump pardoning him. And infact finding a position for him in ICE.

A decent President would want to respect the Courts by not pardoning a Contempt of Court conviction.
Therefore Trump will probably pardon.

A decent President would wait 5 years after conviction before pardoning in order to show respect for the Justice Department standards.(reference below)
Therefore Trump will probably pardon as soon as someone else (not himself) writes up the proper document, while he sits pen in hand.

Standards for Consideration of Clemency Petitioners
Section 1-2.112 Standards for Considering Pardon Petitions

In general, a pardon is granted on the basis of the petitioner's demonstrated good conduct for a substantial period of time after conviction and service of sentence. The Department's regulations require a petitioner to wait a period of at least five years after conviction or release from confinement (whichever is later) before filing a pardon application (28 C.F.R. § 1.2). In determining whether a particular petitioner should be recommended for a pardon, the following are the principal factors taken into account.

Absolutely! It's not what he says under coercion, it's what he does that matters. Like cutting staff and budgets of civil rights agencies.

The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights Expresses Concern
Regarding Federal Civil Rights Enforcement Efficacy and Priorities June 16, 2017

The Commission, by majority vote, expresses concern with the Administration’s proposed budget cuts to and planned staff losses in numerous programs and civil rights offices across the federal government that enforce our nation’s federal civil rights laws. Along with changing programmatic priorities, these proposed cuts would result in a dangerous reduction of civil rights enforcement across the country, leaving communities of color, LGBT people, older people, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups exposed to greater risk of discrimination.

... The Commission has grave concerns about continuing signals from the current Administration, including the President’s proposed budget and
statements of Cabinet and senior Administration officials, that the protection and fulfillment of civil rights of all persons will not be appropriately prioritized.
...
Tellingly, the Civil Rights Division’s budget request calls for cutting 121 positions, including 14 attorneys.

Department of Education – The proposed budget calls for reducing staffing by 7 percent (losing 46 full time equivalent positions) at the department’s Office for Civil Rights, which investigates sex, race, disability, and age based civil rights complaints. 4 ... These proposed cuts are
particularly troubling in light of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos’ repeated refusal in Congressional testimony and other public statements to commit that the Department would enforce federal civil rights laws.

Department of Labor ...reduce staffing levels at the Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) by nearly 23%

etc. etc. etc. Every agency basically cut.

Shouldn't have been pardoned. I'm all for checking immigration status when someone commits a crime, but profiling isn't acceptable. Neither are the other things he's been accused of.

Arpaio is a hypocrite who broke the law. No, he shouldn't pardon that scuzzball, but because his base love the idea of abusing criminals Trump has pardoned him. Trump is desperate right now to try and keep hold of his base.

They should have downed a few beers after the game, made a few lewd comments in the lockers room , grabbed some ass and gone home to their wives.

This is the kind of nonsense that takes up valuable thinking time, not that anyone cares much more than the sweet dribble oozing from the corners of their mouths after eating the latest magnum surprise.

Did the fact that Arpaio broke the law even occur to you, or are you just happy because you think that Liberals will be unhappy?
