What does this have to do with the Left?

Of course we have it pretty good in this country because while we have the right to believe what we want to believe, like nutty religions and superstitions, we have individual rights that keep those nuts at bay.

You should be thanking those that keep civil rights progressing forward.

There is a certain "logic" that says western women shouldn't complain about anything because some women have it worse.

It always seemed to me like there was an implied threat in that.

"You'd better shuddup woman. "For ah shows you what 'pression really is!"

That goes ALL the way back to 'The Bible™' where TheQuorum thought it was best to delete Adamu's first wife w/"Eve" who NEEDED a bit of Adamu to get going... (Subservient)

This 'most likely' due to the Yangs (males) of the time not wanting competition to 'run things' Those guys in today's times would drive a BIG RED TRUCK or some other jacked-up rig...

The Male's only response to anything dealing w/a Female's body is "Yes, Dear"

maybe I am wrong, but in most cases where customs such as this still exist,
the local villages have more control over their region than the central gov't.
which, leads me to ask....
why the op brought the left into this??
yes, see how lucky you are lefties?? now shut up and let us bring the power down to our local gov't so we can have just as oppressive and backwards crap in our region if we decide we want it!!

Somehow, I doubt she thinks that. But how do you know how big her desktop display is? Maybe it is 10".

Excellent point.. She could also be wearing bi-focals and has the + + button pushed..

I could probably figure it out but then I'd have to remove the band-aids that are on My camera/headphone plug..

Holy #, you do that too?!

I thought I was the only one. I used to do that. Now I use a little hair clippy and a piece of paper towel.

Women power stops at the border! Say what?!

Good thing. Only abusive low lives think in those terms and if you claim bible, that is a demiurge, dark side.

God is Highest Love and Goodness, the Highest Mind portion of Infinite Consciousness that connects all infinite Higher Mind Souls and is the Source of Infinity as Consciousness is infinite Tao of Love and Goodness, beyond all codes to the dark side and traps in this lower realm.

Its quite a handle to intend and say all that, but thats how I pray, denouncing and renouncing all their traps.

I know, right? We still have people on the right that don't want women here to use birth control pills. I used to think birth control pills were strictly to stop a woman from getting pregnant, but then I asked some ladies about it (gasp, how dare I ask women about women's issues!). They said birth control pills can also do other things like reduce the pain and length of the menstruation cycle.

So it's even more astounding to me that the OP chose menstruation to make their point when many on the right are indirectly hurting the women right here by denying them birth control pills.

Yeah see, BC pills for those issues are covered in insurance already.

But strictly for birth control is the issue.

Pay for it yourself. $15 a month?

That's a couple of big mac's.

But why? Why should health care stop at reproductive care? VIagra is covered...

I have no idea. Maybe it's for something else, like the BC pills?

I don't need viagra myself.

lol.

Maybe it's the systemic patriarchal hierarchy of the insurance companies hell bent on marginalizing women's issues.

And... this.... is why I'm skeptical of anyone who generates "thread starter" content on just about any forum anywhere... I mean seriously, what would possess someone to actually type that tripe out and hit POST?

And after a few weeks of picking up ice cream and chocolate and apologizing for sunshine. . . . the huts will be reinstated.

ATs is right now in a transitional stage, the OP is simply trying to generate the quality content that seems to be the benchmark these days.

A cattle shed or a hut?

Those women are totally doing it wrong over there. The man should go to the hut, not her. I make my husband go to the barn. I throw out food twice a day for him when i feed and water the animals.

we now know that it's advantageous to both the women and her offspring to have pregnancies spaced a few years apart though...
by having insurance that provides coverage for birth control, insurance companies just may be saving themselves and society, money in the long run since there will be less health costs in the future.
and, not all women are the same. for some the best, safest option might be your $15/ mo solution, but for others, it might pose serious health risks that wouldn't be a concern with a different, possibly more expensive option.

for the amount of money that one shells out for health insurance today, something as basic as birth control should be included!! it certainly shouldn't be disallowed simply because some of us have this outdated view of sex!
