They've dropped weapons on different South Korean ranges multiple times this year, several around North Korean missile tests. A pair of B-1s, as well as aircraft off the Carl Vinson, and F-15Ks from South Korea flew over the peninsula a few hours after the missile test in May. A pair of B-52s have been over this year too.

Just JDAMs. Not particularly accurate either going by the video.

Is North Korea capable of shooting down B1's or B52's flying high over their country?
If they are, the USA better watch out.

Theoretically. They have the KN-06, which appears to be a combination of the Russian S300 and Chinese FT-2000 (which is the Chinese version of the S300), but it only finished testing in May, and had some problems they had to resolve in testing. That's their most modern system, and the most dangerous to the bombers, but at the range they'd be firing from it would be difficult to hit them, especially with the defensive systems. They'd be firing from somewhere in North Korea, across the DMZ, into South Korea where the bombers were flying. And the bombers would have warning when the radar locked them up before firing.

Sounds like the Inert Bomb is more like something Kim Jong would have.

It's interesting that you mention "Russian". I read yesterday that several Russian Weapon Scientists were recruited to North Korea, to help Kim Jong develop his nuclear weapons capability. That could be why U.S. experts are "surprised" by North Korea's unexpected advances in sophistication and reliability.

Most of their equipment is either older Russian, or Chinese license built of Russian equipment. Their most modern aircraft is the MiG-29B/UB, although they might have some MiG-29S Fatbacks. They're still flying MiG-17s and -21s as a big part of their inventory. Between the MiG and Shenyang/Chengdu versions, they have somewhere around 380 MiG-17s, -19s, and -21s.

I'm really hoping that President Trump will order a cruise missile strike on Kim Jong. He's not hiding in a bunker.

Jong said that he's worried that he will be raided and "Osama'd" by Navy Seals. IMO, we shouldn't risk one American life going after him like that. Let a low-yield C.M. get the job done.

The MiG-29, with the right load, at the right range will beat anything the West has, short of an F-22. At long range, just about anything we have will handle it. As for the others, it would be a turkey shoot, especially if they took the F-22s in. The MiG-21 was dangerous in Vietnam, when they went up against F-4s and F-105s, but there's not a lot of room for improvement, and no way to turn it into a real dogfighter or anything but an interceptor. The MiG-17 and -19 are Korean era fighters.

Make no mistake, we (the U.S.) knows what, where, and when each and every threat in NK is and there are already plans to nullify each threat handily. The lady in the green dress will assure us of that....guaranteed.
