During Saturday night’s terrorist attack that killed six and injured more than 30 others, there were reports of some community police running away from the terrorists, leaving citizens to defend themselves – which they did by throwing chairs. Then afterwards, other police stormed in and shot “straight away,” according to reports.
The police were running away, they were community police. They were normal officers, they were running away.
The police were running away, they were community police. They were normal officers

So your police force is typically armed?
They can't arrest
They can't interview
They can't process prisoners
They can't investigate crimes
And most of all, they do not carry out more high risk tasks as regular police officers do

Yes, they're armed. Just not with firearms.
I fail to see how that has anything to do with community police though.

Better start arming your police officers.

They would have been ordered to call for backup and stand down.
