Is ATS Being Harvested for News Stories

On March 8 I did an OP entitled "On 'Trigger Words' and Mind Control". Here's the link

The basic theme of the thread was questioning whether the term "trigger words" is valid and whether or not the current use of the word was somehow and indication of mass mind control. It began by using a definition of the term from various sources. It then spoke briefly about mind control techniques. It concludes with the idea that we are responsible for our own actions and someone else's words can't make us do anything.

Tonight, while browsing videos on YT, I stumbled across a posting entitled "Mass Hypnosis and Trigger Words". The channel it appears on is called "Truthstream Media".

This is not a channel with which I am familiar. If you watch the video, it not only includes the basic structure and themes in my OP, but actually uses some of the exact language, "Sticks and stones . . ." It states that the term was originally sourced to hypnotism, which is what I claimed in my posting but was refuted by more than one responder to the post. Some of the topics raised in the thread replies are also included.

Perhaps this person just thinks like I do. Or perhaps . . . she stole my idea.

Am I off base, or is this a possibility? I'm a relative newcomer to ATS, has anyone else seen this happen before? Is anyone familiar with this YT channel?

The internet is very cannibalistic in that way, which is why I suspect most forums and social media services seem to claim ownership of anything published using their apps/sites/devices/whatever. I haven't checked, but I suspect ATS is the same, so if that youtube owner went on to make a million bucks from the story that she (possibly) stole, ATS could have some legal recourse (assuming that they could prove the case).

The need to provide original content is real and open to all sorts of exploitation, from the fairly innocuous (sharing news stories) to the deliberately misleading, plagiarism.

Worst case scenario is someone thought your argument was compelling enough to incorporate.

It's not intellectual property. It's the internet.

The news agencies monitor this kind of site to get ideas, the intelligence agency monitor sites like this to get ideas too. Even some TV shows will have people monitoring sites to get content to discuss. Nothing wrong with that, we are putting the info out so it can be seen and it can then alter our reality a bit if a lot of people see it. That could be good or bad for society. Or it can make people laugh.

I'm not worried about any intellectual property, just surprised is all.

I've heard quite a few radio shows mention ATS in their fact finding efforts.

There are or were celebrities who used to post here too.

I've actually spotted one, popular radio host. I was able to deduce their language and make a connection with their name and the subject matter they covered on their radio show.

I have a serious conspiracy minded theory about all this "SJW" BS going on since around 2012, starting with OWS and an entire generation of millennials foaming at the mouth for socialism and other globalist ideas gaining huge popularity en mass.

There IS mass brainwashing going on, IMO. Nothing else could explain the very sudden madness that has taken place within less than a decade. I am not closed minded to this being about a mass brain washing technique in the form of "trigger words". I think the possibility is very real.

Of course, I will probably be "shamed" for admitting this, on a CONSPIRACY web site, but damn, something has gone wrong. I see it clear as day, while others defend it constantly, like an obsession exists to protest anything not "liberal" etc. Just look at the MSM, SNL, even comedians are selling this socialistic and soon to be communistic agenda.

Millennials totally love it. That's an ENTIRE generation with ONE opinion, while everyone else is being pushed aside. Look at college campuses. We KNOW that free speech is being slowly phased out under a one world, one opinion agenda. ANYONE, and I mean anyone whom doesn't subscribe to this globalist thinking are called racists, white nationalists, even white supremacists and Nazis, misogynists, homophobes, islamaphobes.. etc etc.. Not just by college kids, but MAINSTREAM MEDIA OUTLETS!!! Lives are being ruined over it. Jobs are being lost. The minorities whom don't accept this current social "norm" are called Uncle toms, and "not black enough" etc etc.

This is bigger than big. The future of all humanity is at stake here, IMO.

OP, is ATS being harvested for news stories? Probably, but only by no-name alt news sites. I don't think anyone from CNN would spend more than 5 minutes on this site reading the political pissing contest that goes on every minute of every day.
