I liked this when it came out, and I still like it now.

I don't think it's ever been posted so I'm posting it here.

Indeed! One of my favorites! I've yet however to see the second that came out. I can only hope it was as great as it's... as the first.

the second one is alright, its not as good, and they don't have the Spartans in it as much, its mainly the Athenians I believe.

ah yes true. The athenians sucked in comparison to the Spartans. Why is it first movies are always so much better than the hereafter?

I appreciate your input!

Not my favorite movie. I think it glorifies military violence with with exaggerated fantasies.

And thats exactly why you would have died painfully had you lived during that era. Only tough Men with balls survived.

It's still a fantastic movie, the second was ok but couldn't outdo the first.

Lol that last part was great, he deserves the badge of "being a moron" for telling the other side how to defeat the Spartan's.

Those days, the Romans didn't have medicine or doctors - their only hope was to pray to the family God like Jupiter or Saturn. They completely feared the druids because the druids had knowledge of natural antibiotics and medicines - cobwebs and mildew were the cure for a deep skin wound. The cobwebs had natural antibiotics, anti-fungicides and a silk texture that collagen could grow around. Just with that knowledge, what would have been a fatal injury leading to septic shock would be reduced to a few weeks rest. The Romans had to recruit Greek doctors.

We still don't know how the Romans were able to get the performance out of their warships which were powered by three decks of rowers. Even with a full-size replica ship and a full crew of bodybuilders they weren't able to get the speeds required to crash into another vessel. Either it was special training to get the right types of muscle, or they did something clever with the synchronisation of their rowing so each oar hit the vortices of the previous stroke at the correct location.

You are right, yes. They knew more imho, than they do now. It was common knowledge now .. you have to be a seeker and a researcher to know this.

Pure adreneline and hate and pride is how they powered their ships. One thing is certain, they were a hell of a lot tougher than people of today. Thank you for adding to the thread.

Oh wow it's beautiful. Thank you for sharing that.

Another Mandela effect in progress. I rewatched this movie after several years and remember Leonidas winning the battle and Xerxies dying... another mind f'ck in progress. But a lovely place, reminds me of my home growing up.
