As everyone throws the SS people under the bus I'd like to remind you of one thing. These are people that worked long and hard to build their careers. And each took an Oath to defend the Constitution. If they saw something or were being told to do things that were in violation of that oath, should they not push back? Keep in mind, many of these people --- most especially senior-level people --- have been with the agency across several administrations both Rep and Dem.

Looks like this OP was based on fake news.

From Secret Service:

@SCClemons @SecretService advising that your reporting continues to be false. Still waiting for you to contact us for official statement.

Just rumour being reported as fact without even checking. Par for the course.

So. You maintain that it is legitimate to swear to protect a person in office, no matter whether you suspect that person is only in that office so they can abuse it, or not?

People can be free to leave their job if they do not feel that they can morally do it.

So what you are saying, is that you think it is appropriate to swear an oath that could, one day, make you complicit in crimes against the people, by way of your preventing a just removal of a tyrant? What manner of freedom hating bastard would take that job?

Are you seriously saying that you would agree with and support an assassination of our President???

And everyone who did that was complicit in his crimes, were they not?

See that is the thing. The oath should go like this:

As long as *insert name of President* continues to serve the interests of all the American people and all its States, I will protect him/her with my life.

This means that the named individual is under their protection, until the individual swearing the oath believes that they are no longer in service of the people. When they make choices that conflict with the wishes and needs of the electorate, the protection goes away.

Are you seriously saying that Secret Service should have the right to randomly step aside and allow an assassination of the President because they decide that they don't agree with how things are going?

UPDATE: REPORT DENIED: Secret Service Managers Fired, Escorted from White House Grounds
Kristinn Taylor Feb 3rd, 2017 12:47 am 611 Comments

UPDATE: The Secret Service has branded the report by reporter Steve Clemons that at least two managers were forced to resign overnight as “absolutely false”, the Washington Examiner reported. Friday morning.

Clemons corrected and clarified his reports to now state that officials with White House cyber security were forced out. His new tweets have been added at the end of this article.

“The report regarding the Secret Service personnel is absolutely false,” an agency spokeswoman said Friday.

She referred all further questions to the White House press office, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

This is probably the true story:
Someone mixed up facts and thought it was Secret Service instead of IT contractors who were removed.

People aren't shy about wanting Trump dead and the Constitution shredded.

""The head of the Secret Service, a retired detail leader who was given the assignment of shoring up the agency in a period of crisis, is leaving his post, a little more than two years after arriving in one of Washington's toughest jobs.

Joseph P. Clancy, whom then-President Obama summoned back from the private sector in late 2014 amid a string of security breaches and employee misconduct in the agency, said it's now time to retire for good. He alerted the White House last week of his plans to step down March 4, giving President Trump the chance to select his own security chief.

Clancy, the former head of Obama's protective detail, steered the Secret Service as it strained to shoulder a heavy workload with the lowest number of employees in a decade. At one point, the Service had 500 fewer people on staff than it was authorized to hire."
