This reminds me of words from George Carlin.

"You don't need a formal conspiracy when interests converge. The owners of this country went to the same universities and fraternities, there on the same boards of directors, they belong to the same country clubs, they have like interests, they don't need to call a meeting because they know what is good for them...and they are getting it.

Tillerson will most likely lift those sanctions, because it benefits him and his Company. He has 245 million in exxon stock. Link

Bullsnip.

finance.yahoo.com...

TILLERSON REX W 2,466,350 Dec 9, 2015

Chalking this thread up to more 'FAKE NEWS'.

Which is based on nothing more than the value of the stock during any given day. At the mercy of market fluctuation.

And then there is the whole FACTCA.

www.irs.gov...

Not to mention the TAXES he pays on XOM dividends.

And the 'Bahamas' hasn't been a 'banking safe haven' since the 90s. under a CLinton.

Thank god people like you are here to point out the obvious and deliberate misdirection of people claiming Rex has 245 millions in stock when today it's only worth 224 millions.

I can now sleep better knowing people like you are fighting the good fight of focusing on getting accurate numbers instead of losing time discussing the ethical and political ramification of this situation.

Hopefully in the US it's quite normal to be a politician (making laws) and a businessman (making money) at the same time so nobody should be worried about this kind of "conficts of interest".

Wait til the Russians turn on your guy. This was never about Hillary. This was about Putin wanting American troops to fight the jihad started against him. His ambassador in Turkey was killed today. Trump will March to Putin's war tune.

Let's hope so, a US-Russia alliance would be strong!

We have a volunteer military. Do you belong or will you sign up to fight for the Russians?

We are at the fifth page now and you are the second request for a legit citation that has gone unanswered. We should have seen someone able to actually provide evidence for the 20% figure by this point. The ridiculous part of this is that Exxon apparently has a much bigger stake in Japan than Russia. So, how isn't that a much bigger conflict of interest, and therefore a much bigger problem?

Oh,and the USA outright owns a piece of Cuba by force. Is that a conflict of interest whereby we cannot trust the USA? They own Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. Its true we can't trust the USA but them owning a piece of Cuba isn't part of the problem.

Good post. Trump has been colluding with the KGB over the petrol-dollar and the amplification of state power. It reminds me of the 1993 vote which ushered in the NAFTA deal that for twenty three years has been transferring wealth from the pockets of the western industrial laborer toward the east.

Americans have allowed themselves to become blind to history, dumbfounded by the information coupes. The CIA and NSA have been doing it in the third world since the end of WWII. Yes, 'we' are apparently as disadvantaged as the ignorant masses of the third world.

And the Trumpets will just sluff it off as being perfectly acceptable.

I don't think we can trust our backs to hypocrites. Hillary was destroyed to put the final nail in what was left our democracy.

I agree with that.
