The problem with a national winner take all vote is it would easier to fix an election.

All they need is one state.

The irony is the states can all ready decide how there electoral votes work. Many states have made changes all ready. If say California wants to award there votes to who ever wins the popular vote they can. Just means people wouldn't care about the entire state just Los angeles.

It would also make it easier to move forward with a globalist, socialist agenda.

Abolishing the EC would be a nightmare.

Can you imagine the problems we'd have if we ran into mandatory recount territory?

Hell, at that point we might as well just put the candidates into a pen let them beat each other.

Good point, so you better believe that we will be *educated* on how recounts would work. States would still count their votes and any automatic recounts would be triggered if the result difference was less than a certain amount (like, 2000 votes) in a given state.

They are going to find a way to convince us this will all be hunky dory and good for us IF abolishing the EC is the plan.

I dunno. I don't suppose I've given much thought to what it would be like to have an actual DEAD PRESIDENT running the government. It's bad enough that they own it.

The BECK bill was introduced yesterday. (Boxer Electoral College Killer)
www.foxnews.com...

I noticed in the Article that Barbara Boxer is retiring. Harry Reid is too. What happened? Why the exodus of top Democrats? Is Nancy Pelosi and Elijah Cummings throwing in the towel too? I suppose that'd be asking for too much.

Without the electoral college, this tiny amount of blue, will always control all the red on this map, and that doesn't seem very fair.

Solution is simple.

Make Puerto Rico the 51st State.

Each State gets 1 electoral vote, by law the vote MUST go to the person who wins the popular vote in each state. No ties.

Whoever gets 26 wins.

Each State still has an equal vote. Not 2 States deciding the next president.

But least of all, nothing will change,.. There is very big money to be made in the current swing state method and nothing will change that.

Democrats want majority (re:mob) rule because they know how to manipulate and control the masses through brainwashing and disinformation. Our Founding Fathers were brilliant in establishing the electoral college to preserve states rights and real Liberty.

Its a simple enough solution, but is it truly fair?

Random example (I have no idea of state populations, not american): If one state has 5 million inhabitants, another 10 million inhabitants and a third 30 million inhabitants, should they still get 1 vote each?

If the country only consisted of those states and assuming everyone votes, then in theory just above 7.5 million people voting for X in the two lowpop states could win over 37.5 million people voting for Y because it's still 2v1.

Hardly fair I'd say.

Now if we can only get the Senate to follow the "one vote" clause in the 17th Amendment!

So mob rule okay for picking Republican judges. But not okay when Democrats could win. Okay, got it.

People are stupid.. electoral college makes sense. Every average joe moe trump voter was voting for silly reasons, or really had no idea how trump was.

I actually dont mean to call trump supporters stupid.. Because they are not. They are just not educated in politics and what election entails. They vote emotionally and stupidly.
