The one at present was brought by a dating site and one of it's very young members from canada.

The alleged victim wasn't a member, she was on her 22 year old sisters account.

The oligarchy is above the law. The laws only apply to us plebs.

This is a confusing set of allegations. If the child accessing the account on the dating site was 8, yet the "user account" was for her much older (22 yo) sister, then how could Assange have known she was 8? It would also be on the girl's parents and her adult sister because unsupervised use of the computer is what led to this issue, imo.

Now, if he uploaded, as the KOS article suggests, child pornography images/video to the site in the chat with the girl, and/or if she clearly identified herself as an 8 yo child while "chatting" saying she was using her sister's account, then he'd be in a heap o trouble.

I don't doubt that he might have been trying to have internet-sex. He's alone in the Embassy and it is very isolating.

As to the assault charge in Sweden, it would be very bad to force unprotected sex on a woman - disease and pregnancy are risks the woman did not agree to with him. It is not the same as rape, but it is a violation that could impact the health and well-being of the woman, and it is amazing they have laws for that kind of thing.

I am really curious as to the other charge of $1 million dollars from Russia - it would require definite proof and a paper trail/digital trail that was solid.

Wikileaks says it's all false...but what else would they say? I will wait and see what hits the fan with this in the next few days, and see if there are solid facts or not. Some people won't believe any of those facts if they don't have the narrative of "wronged Julian" -- he might be wronged and set-up, but at this point we have no way of understanding that.

For someone so security minded and savvy with his tech, I would think a million dollar payoff would have been done in an extremely discreet manner through a crazy untraceable web, etc. But if it landed via mysterious means into an account that is verifiably his, from Russian actors, then??? I would require some solid proof though -- seems easy to fake??
