So theres no conspiracy or theory about that for you, those events make you a witness, not just a believer.

It's something I can't logically explain, but have a few ideas about.

One of which is hallucinations. I get some very vivid ones when I have a temperature (normally a good indication that I need to get to docs pretty quickly).

im in the "ATS made me a skeptic" camp, too.

I came here wanting to believe all sorts of things, but needing to dive in to determine if it was something to believe. After the past 9 years of reading on ATS, among other places (I had a life before ATS, too), I can say that there is little left for me to be in wonder and amazement at. Most of it is that common sense, when applied to evidence, leads one to see that much of what we typically call "conspiracy" (non governmental....there is TONS of conspiracy in government) is just misunderstandings and misinformation. The Solway Firth spaceman is a great example. Upon closer inspection, its just mom with her back to the camera.

Im too much of a rationalist to buy into much. But stuff like Serpo made me WANT to buy in.

You've seen them?!

I'm surprised you're here to tell us. Normally they send out their reptilian slave masters to kidnap witnesses and take them into the middle of our hollow earth to mine gold.

Or so I've heard.

I'm a big time debunker, too. Primarily because of my experiences and awareness of the hoaxing, lying and disinformation going on.
We both agree on that part.

That boredom thing will pass. Go through the moves until it does. You have kids right? You ever get that feeling when you look in their eyes? How jealous I am of that. I never had kids.

I used to garden too. I miss that a lot. Nothing like knowing what exactly goes into the food your grow for yourself.

These things should give you all the fulfillment you require. Unless you become a infotainment junkie, thats hard to avoid nowadays.

I dig digging on the internet. I'm 9lder and all the stuff I either lived through or saw in the news is out there somewhere online. I dig updating and confirming my suspicion about stuff, especially when like minded people that also remember and respond with their search results.

The days before inter webs this was impossible, the only source of information was top down, one way from TV, radio and newspapers.

The dark ages, comparatively.

Don't ever get too bored of this two way exchange.

I think they leave me alone because I OWN a lizard, so I know all of their tricks.

Ah. So you show that you're not scared of them? Good idea!

I've 'hallucinated' too, thats not what we are talking about here though, is it... otherwise you probably wouldn't have shared it in response. Something about those particular events stands out from just background noise or "hallucinations", am I right?'

Possibly. Like I said, it's not something I can logically explain. All I can do is speculate.

i fight boredom with old fashioned research.

This morning I read this article:

nautil.us...

and plan on spending the next week cross referencing elements within it (and within the crossed sources). Its like a rabbit hole that can take days/weeks/months to emerge from. Along the way I find new, cool sites (like waitbutwhy.com or todayifoundout.com) that I spend a few weeks reading everything on.

The only limit is how well I can stay awake. But there's just so much I don't know that Im curious about.

I don't know, it's kind of up and down for me.

The government/military/PTB conspiracies are never ending... And doom porn, I can never get enough doom porn. Come to think of it, we haven't had any really good doom porn in quite a while now.

But the UFO, cryptozoology, paranormal type stuff seems to have died for me (or at least to a degree).

I think it all boils down to the 'novelty' of this stuff wears off after a while. And there's just so much obvious hoaxes happening all the time that it tends to taint everything else, causing us to become more and more skeptical as time goes on, even when a situation arises that may have some actual meat to it.

There just doesn't seem to be any new exciting sightings, incidents, etc happening these days. Maybe the aliens finally realized we're just a bunch of schmucks on this rock, threw their arms up in the air, and said "to hell with them" ?

I think we need another "2012" to stir up the fun around this place....

I agree...as long as people don't start theorizing about 2012 again!

I think one of the largest problems, and it's been kind of mentioned, is that there's a lot of us that have turned skeptic/debunker due to believing xyz in the past and finding the evidence of fraud, hoax, misinformation etc.

My first conspiracies were aliens, Area 51, 2012 and some other similar things. Over the years I've done the research and found out the falseness of certain things that are lapped up by others (including younger me).

Would I go back and be naive? I don't think I would. I'd rather know the truth and be disappointed than be wishful, but not knowing.

Heres to the new explorers, I depend on this new type of human to weed out the garden and come with the harvest. Thanks for the link.

I've always been a skeptic and will always will be one.

Seriously, it's the posters on this forum that suck. Too much incredulity, too much bragging about debunking not enough deep research, too much of a sheep mindset, not enough philosophes too many party poopers.

ATS is now boring as hell, I almost never come anymore.
