We are not talking about "the people who hate blacks."

This thread is about Trump being labeled racist for the same thing that Clinton has stated.

Surely, you can't hold Trump accountable for how other people feel, can you?

I can hold him accountable for deliberately saying things he knows will appeal to that group, as it is a big part of his supporting base. I could hold him accountable if he became president and actually did do the things he promised in order to get this group's support.

4 Times Michelle Obama said Make America Great Again
thefederalist.com...

Again, we have to take those comments in to proper context.

Did she use that statement within the context of a campaign that has purposefully built itself upon an appeal towards people that despise illegal immigrants and groups that advocate social justice for people of color?

I think not.
So great means white when his African American supporters say it too?

And why would anyone condone illegal immigration..

When was the last time you would say America was great? I would say the the last time you could say America was truly great was the mid nineties, Clinton a Democrat was in office but unfortunately some of the trade deals that he signed were the beginning of the end.

It's not just the policies alone. It's the rhetoric and policies combined that may appeal to racists.

I agree. Trump panders to specific demographics. Like him or not, the guy plays the demagoguery card exceptionally well by appealing to the emotions and prejudices of his base.

It is true many Trump supporters possess a racist mindset. However, it is important to keep in mind there are many Trump supporters who do not possess a racist mindset.

Trump has a lot of support from people of all colour who are financially struggling and want to see true change in the economy for the average joe instead of the wealthy elite; from people who see through Clinton's B.S and understand she is a corrupt psychopathic neocon who only serves herself and globalist agendas; from people who are fed up from decades of the establishment's manipulation of politics; and most importantly, he has the support of those who are keenly aware and understand he might just be a shill in order to escort Hillary into the White House, and to have Trump win will be seen as a big F.U (major curve ball) to government corruption and age old manipulation of elections.

I personally believe both Trump and Hillary are playing their parts very well within 'the theatre of politics' and even if Trump wins the popular vote come this November, Clinton will still become POTUS.

Under modern conditions of political advertising and manipulation, it has become possible to talk of the engineering of consent by an elite of experts and professional politicians. Consent that is thus engineered is difficult to distinguish in any fundamental way from the consent that supports modern totalitarian governments.

Were the manipulated voter to become the normal voter, the government he supports could hardly be said to rest on his consent in any traditional sense of that word. - Edward Bernays, 1947 from the essay 'The Engineering of Consent

In other words: Anyone who is a Hillary supporter shouldn't worry or stress too much about the upcoming election. It's all a dog and pony show sponsored by the elite establishment, like it has always been.

However, I hope I'm dead wrong in how I view American politics due to my conspiratorial mind getting the better of me.

One thing I do know is; no matter who wins the election; given the two hawkish presidential nominees; along with America's military industrial complex penchant for armed conflict since WW2; there is one thing America and the rest of the world can certainly expect in it's future: More WARS.

Reagan used it too in his 1980 campaign posters.
I didn't realise Reagan was racist too.

And when he succeeded in making America great again from the perspective of the voters he won his second term in a total landslide the likes of which we won't see again for a very long time.

Pretty much every single person that has ever run for president says he can make America better or great, the "again" part only comes in if the previous administration was one of their opponents.
Clinton has to say America is already great because Obama has been at the helm for the last 8 years.
If she was running after 8 years of Bush she would be saying similar things, it's all systematics.

Was there a time where America was great without exploiting some ethnic minority? I'm not well versed enough in American history to know the ins and outs but I would guess not. To look back and think "wow those were great times, let's have them again" well... it's not racist but don't expect everyone to clap and flag wave.

It's only really egregious because it's coming from the mouth of someone that couldn't care less about minorities and is patronisingly pandering to get the minority vote.

Oh well, abortions for some...miniature American flags for others!

As a white southerner, Bill knows exactly what "Make America Great Again" means, especially since he used the slogan himself.

But Clinton's right. "Make America Great Again" really means "Make America White Again".
In other words, "let's get all these 'n-word's and wet-backs outta here".
That's what Trump wants...

Trouble is, the Brown People were here first anyway; something Trump doesn't want to admit to as The Truth.

Wow. Just Wow.

You are obviously too blind to see reality. Trump's no racist, this is a plain and easily researchable fact. However, the disturbing part is that you buy into the media drivel that programmed you to think, no, BELIEVE that to be true.

It's really sad. Scary too.

So, let me get this straight.... because YOU think that's what it means, and in what context it was used that makes it so?

No, what it should do is make you question why YOUR mind would immediately go there with it.

Perhaps some inner reflection might do you some good.

All it means, is make America great again, as in PROSPEROUS.

Trump is a business man you know, money is a pretty prominent factor in his thinking process. He's been saying to put America first in negotiation, and in trade.

Say it with me now....PROSPERITY.

On Bill O's show today, there was a black dude who said basically, "Ya Bill said that but when Trump says it, it's racist"

lol.

I guess it's kinda like the N-word.

And what's up with "WHITE" in White House?

They should change it to "The People's Leader Center"

Coz not everyone has a house or is white.

I don't think that is the whole of the meaning when Trump says it, but he knows what a certain segment of the population that like him will hear.

When Clinton said it, I don't think he was trying to reach that particular demographic . Just a hunch. Clinton said it once and he probably didn't even write the ad. It is Trump's slogan.

Ya just gotta love the left. Words apparently don't mean anything...or don't mean the same thing. And of course, the meaning depends upon whom is saying it. I assume it depends what race they are too? How about what religion, sex or economic classification?

Lets just make this simple for you. If it is said by anyone you don't like...it is bad, but if it is said by someone you do like...it is fine.

Does that basically sum it up???

Now Hillary has put her foot in it... calling 'half of Trump supporters' racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, and islamaphobic. She basically just insulted 25% of the population... tens of millions of citizens.

Maybe the most divisive thing a politician has said in a generation? So much for togetherness. Hillary's message is 'my way, or the highway'.

It makes it worse that this was a fundraiser where she said it in front of her rich donors. Elites looking down their noses and insulting normal citizens.

In my opinion,by his actions, Bill Clinton lacks the moral turpitude to be a used car salesman. IMHO passing NAFTA and giving China favored trading partner status was pretty racist against Americans. I wish he would take his opinions and stick them where the sun doesnt shine. He rails against racism but his trade policies were pretty much economic genocide against ALL American workers white, black or brown. Stuff it Bill.
